Blackfoot Forest lethe

Raven had never much cared for traveling. Every attempt at it in her youth had resulted in her getting horribly lost. She had lost nearly a year -- or more? she couldn't even remember anymore -- fumbling around trying to find her way home. Needless to say, she had stuck very close to home ever since she'd finally made her way back to her beloved caldera.

But there was a downside to being a homebody. It limited her to a very small social circle, for one, and it also restricted her medical knowledge strictly to what plants she could find near the caldera. As vast as the Teekon Wilds were, she could only imagine what fascinating and different things she might find outside the caldera's immediate surroundings that might aid her medical abilities. Meeting Chusi and hearing of her journey had really gotten the gamma thinking about exploration again. So, after talking with Finley and Elwood, she had decided to take a short journey to Rising Sun Valley. It wasn't a tough one to navigate. All she had to do was stay south to give Blackfeather Woods a wide berth and to bypass the mountains by way of Tormented Tarns. As long as the mountains didn't spontaneously disappear, she'd be able to find her way back easily.

She lay now beneath the mostly-naked boughs of the trees at the edge of Blackfoot Forest. Her feet were a little sore from so much traveling, but she was already caught up in how different things looked on this side of the mountains and how exciting it was.
