Joining
A wind tangled in her dark coat, leading the druid to halt in her path as she her onyx head tipped back with pleasure. She breathed deeply, inhaling the savory scent of the crisp, wild breeze . Strange, how even the air smelled different here.

Her feet began walking without her command, the grass parting as Issy prowled through its growth - only the dark tips of her ears visible. Grasshoppers sprung into the air with her every step, a constant companion as the girl wandered.

Amidst the morning calls of birdsong, she came upon a stream. Its surface was gently roiling, dark with hidden depths that moved at unseen speed that could easily drown the druid if she ventured too close. Cautiously, the girl followed as close as she dared, halting when the scent of a fawn caught her attention. It was young, young enough to be unaware of the predator trailing it through the grass.

She came upon the young deer as it grazed, its hide still spotted and its soft brown eyes shining with youth. The girl felt bad as she dispatched the creature's young life, offering silent thanks as she took its thin neck in her mouth and began to drag it away.

Issy might have taken her meal into seclusion to dine on but the wind shifted as she followed the river, bringing with it another intriguing scent. This one did not promise food but a group of other wolves, a pack. She was wary of approaching, uncertain if she was ready to be in another group just yet.

She stood amongst the grass, deer clenched in her jaws, halted with indecision. Her ears tipped back and a wrinkle formed between her pale eyes as she mulled it over silently.

Joining meant less strain to eat, safety, possibly even friends who could abate her loneliness. It meant working to patrol and keep others safe, hunting for a pack, training to fight. That didn't sound so awful, she didn't mind work, it was the unknown wolves that concerned her.

You came south for a new start. One is right in front of you, take it.

With a deep inhale to steady her nerves, the girl began padding in the direction of the scent. She stopped outside the borders, the strong scent indicating that the forest surrounding the stream belonged to whomever ruled here.

The druid rested the fawn at her paws, intending to offer it as a gift, preening her silky coat into an adequate appearance before sitting hesitantly - unsure if she was supposed to sit. She howled, calling for whoever she was supposed to, to pretty please come speak to her.
"A sad soul can kill quicker, far quicker than a germ."
