his rhythm was more ragged, not as practiced as the eagle's had been. she scolded herself for the comparison, but she had nothing else by which to measure this interaction. the man's forelegs held her fast; the juncture of their bodies clasped a friction that reverberated through mona's body. it was weighed in the trill of her throat, and a sensation she could not explain, some rushing clench, vibrated in her bones.
when she had recovered, her panting entwined with that of his; mona felt a brief disappointment that the feeling had not gone on longer. however, she suspected it could be found again, and tried to reach back along her shoulder to capture his muzzle with a reassuring lick.
