just as the man likely struggled to understand him, rehan struggled to understand the man. his ears moved as far forward as possible, but still, meaning was lost. the lines of confusion, frustration, were surely clear on his face; he tried to shake it all off--but it had been a long, difficult journey. he was tired and hungry.
