Much as he had with the slave of the horde, Tulimaq trailed after the spectral stranger with a dogged determination despite lacking any real reason to do so. He was curious about them. They were similar in build, after that initial long-distance glance, to wolves of Tartok. They carried themselves with pride and seemed to have an inherent strength, which appealed to the explorer. If he wanted to get more information about the valley then pursuing one of the inhabitants was the best method.

They were fully aware of him, evidenced by the way they stopped abruptly and turned to counter his silent prowling. The question lilted in the air and Tulimaq wasn't surprised to hear the demanding tone, but he was a bit curious of the accent. It too was familiar. Was this wolf Anneriwok? He saw the flash of red eyes, but did not stare too long at the stranger's colorless face. He was not here to cause offense.

Information. Tulimaq states without missing a beat, his tone light. Despite his size he tried to make himself appear inviting, harmless, which was probably not that successful considering he'd been trailing after this stranger for some distance. I'm an explorer. You look to be at home here—do you come from the standing stones? Now that he was paused, he could examine the stranger with fleeting glances, and even had an opportunity to study their scent. It was earthy like the wolves of Easthollow, but unlike their grassy, windswept, light aroma this stranger carried a deeper scent, with layers of pine.
