he wished to ask after her health, the way she had been so violently repulsed by his offer — but feeling such inquiring may be invasive or indecent, thorn wondered if he ought to avoid the subject entirely. he was not one to lie, however, so when takiyok asked if he was planning on going anywhere, he answered baldly. i was going to ask if you would teach me how to fight better — but it can wait for another time. where would you like to go?
