Gonna fade here! :)


There was more that she could say, if prompted. Details of the life she had led and the weighted decision she had made to leave it. Logic to support her. Detailed plans for what could, potentially, lay ahead for her — but he did not ask, so she would politely keep those bits and pieces to herself. It was not as important as she first thought. Parvati was running from a life that had been chosen for her rather than chosen by her — and now she was here, that was enough. The only question the man had was, Where would you like to go?

To this, she smiled again - this time, as warm as the summerland she had left behind — and she said, Anywhere and everywhere, I have much of the world I would like to see. Her life had been so tremendously limited before; she was ready to undo all of it with her own force of will, ambiguous as it might be.
