Wapun Meadow i love you, i miss you; all these miles away

it'd been over a moon since tuesday was separated from her other half, her sister @Sunday. the earthquakes were destructive enough to separate even this inseperable pair, and it left the vixen's soul fractured. she had no more tears to shed, but the weight of grief shackled her spirits down all the same. much as she mourned her loss, she stubbornly refused to believe her sister was dead. they were fighters, never giving in no matter the odds. sunday was out there somewhere, they just needed to be reunited. unfortunately, the pair naively believed they were truly inseperable and thus had no plans to rendezvous. all she could do now was hope and keep a look out.

depression or not, time marched on. hunger pangs wracked her stomach, drawing her out into the meadow. she stood still as a statue, mismatched eyes fixed on the solid white blanket. only her ears moved, swiveling as she pinpointed the location of a vole skittering through a tunnel just beneath the snow. lithe muscles pulled taut as she reared back like a cocked gun before springing into the frigid air and landing face-first in the snow rather comically. but the joke was on the vole, for she deftly caught it betwixt her narrow jaws. pulling her face free, she shook the slush from her fur and downed the rodent whole. an easy kill, but it was but a snack, even for her. she trotted on in search of something else to fill her belly and keep her mind occupied.
