"She dun it- she ruined me, she-" He said, beginning to attempt an explanation, as though blaming the female for his own actions might serve to clear his name- but as soon as he tilted his chin back in indignance, he was struck. 

He felt the tight clench of jaws at his jugular and his eyes rolled back to reveal bloodshot whites. He kicked and struggled, working his jaws uselessly, making nothing but a muted gurgle against his opponent's grip.
