she imagined her soul still lived there in the fen, a light in the mists, leading travelers astray. her body was here, but some part of her would always remain connected to that place. she felt more than believed that when her time came, her life would end there and not here.

but she was here; a compulsion.

ananke followed the river, unconcerned with where it would take her. she would arrive where she was meant to, for each moment of her life would unfold exactly as it needed to. she did not worry. it would be made clear.
