Family and close friends welcome. Maybe @Peregrine? :)

Unlike her mate, Fox had not immediately had overwhelming love for her children. She cared for them, that much was true, but she did not feel like they were anything particularly special. Well, they were. But they weren't. It was confusing and frustrating and caused her to feel especially guilty when Perry would fawn all over the four little potatoes she'd given birth to. How could it be that she had waited so long for this and wasn't ecstatic about their little family?

A frown tugged at her lips as she nudged the derp so he could get a better hold on the milk dud he'd been trying to get at. The red one, her mini me with the black tail, shrieked something awful for no apparent reason, and Fox attempted to soothe her by licking her head. This worked for approximately two seconds before she imitated a banshee again, so Fox picked her up and moved her toward a teat. The brown one seemed asleep, from what she could tell, and the black one as well. Fox sighed. Where was that natural bond that she was supposed to feel with them?
