@Tundra
Cry hadn't any luck yet, not in the slightest. He had yet to both find prey, and to find more members. Though Gwen had told him that souls would flock to them, he ultimately knew they needed members to make a 'them'. He wasn't doubting her, not in the slightest. Instead, this mission was gilded in his need to find food for both him and Kai, who he had instructed to stay within the safety of the woods. He, if found any, would run food into the forest, and alert her of its entry and howl out where it went from. From there, she'd chase it down and ether eat it, or stow it. It was a system they had developed since coming into Shadewood.
But luck only went so far.
While he could, he achieved game both by land and by water. He enjoyed fishing, and had all the patience in the world for it. But for right now, though he were supposed to be searching for food, he eyes searched for any lupine life between the trees, through bushes, and into the horizon.

if all goes to plan tundra should be a member of bfw when this takes place
soft paws carry the pale woman across the rolling flats aimlessly. as much as she enjoyed the shelter of the familiar aspect of the dark forests, she still felt the more than occasional need to escape by herself even if the bare flatness continued to leave her skin prickling with unease. what starts off as a stroll of sorts begins to heighten in intensity as it shifts to a brisk pace- leaving her looking like she was on a mission and before she knows it she's flat out running- cutting through the cold air like an arrow as paws thud against the grassy earth.
for a while she just runs, as simple as that- no reason and no destination in mind. it's just her, the wind rushing past her creamy ears and the increasingly loud beat of her heart as it worked hard to pump the sufficient amount of fuel needed to propel her small body forward.
eventually she's forced to stop, paws skidding slightly on the damp grass as she stands panting- jaws agape as her salmon tongue lolls from them. she feels....exhilerated. such an unusual emotion to describe the stoic fae and yet she'd experienced it through something as mundane as running on a brisk day. she rolls back her shoulders and stretches out her tired muscles one at a time, dark eyes scanning the surrounding landscape for anything that stood out. sure enough only a few moments later a wolf as dark as night became visible picking their way across the lands. she leans back on her haunches, tail tip twitching slightly but otherwise still as her ears remain pricked atop her head. she's too far to catch the man's attention even if she wanted to /not that she really did to be honest/ but judging by the alert way he was carrying himself she wouldn't go unnoticed for long and so she simply waited.
Destined to run into the path of something Cry had scoured the earth and found a trail, fresh, and heading in the opposit direction of his own. It was a wolf, and only just pressed into the flats of Kintla. Turning about, he loooked for what he could, mind already hashing out details of this not-too-far target. However, as hard as it worked, the only thing he could pick up was that she was a female. But would a pack wolf cross so far away? The scent was not the same as Caiaphas' own, who he had not forgotten, nor ever would. It was not Gwen, nor Kai. Someone else lurked here, but it seemed the prints were carefree, not searching. Could this be Fire? The dame the Coywolf searched about for?
It was then his glacials landed on another, a blonde who held a bit of softer brown in a plush coat. And he watched her, as she watched him. Hazels were the gems she had over him, scanning him as he ended his search for her. Alert, he tok a few steps forward, but chose not to simply dash off to her. Whoever this was. So Cry sat down once he was withing moderate speaking distance, not close enough to gather any more details about her through smell, but close enough to get what he could through sight and conversation.
"Hello." The baritones rumbled between them as the wintery man spoke to the younger woman.

tundra's expression does not change in the slightest upon noticing him notice her. eyes of azure bear into her across the empty space as he moves forward with an evident amount of purpose in her direction. aside the slight narrowing of dark eyes the woman continues to remain statuesque especially since he has the sense to stop at a respectable distance- dropping into a sitting position. for a moment that's it, the two sit in complete silence- exchanging nothing side the intensity of their stares. however eventually he speaks, a simple word rumbling from his chest in the form of a greeting.
she dips her head slightly- "greetings" the word slips from her jaws in a soft toned breath but there too is an iciness lingering beneath, matching the void look to her doll eyes quite fittingly. something about the man gives her the impression that he is not the type to just approach one to make small talk- of course it's a quick assumption to make as she has literally only been in his presence for mere minutes but there is a sense of purpose to him that has her thinking there must be a reason to his decision to approach.
no more words are allowed past the boundary of shut jaws but the expectant look lingering in her dark gaze asks enough- well do you want something? she thinks it's only fair as he is the one that approached her that he carry this conversation if he so wished to. already she can feel the bareness of the flatlands making her skin prickle uncomfortably as she fights the urge to turn tail and race back to the forest. she can not become too dependent on the trees to shelter her.

It would have sounded silly if he would have just tried to interrogate the woman on whether she had seem some red wolf around. It would have sounded even sillier should he try to converse with her as though he weren't in the middle of busily looking for another. But he had started this exchange, and he couldn't simple stop ot on account of his predicament. It was a struggle to figure his act for now as the assassin was not expert in public affairs.
Studying the creamy wolf, the Phantom nodded at her greeting just as he took in the scent from her that rode the breeze which backswayed from her. It was faint as much as he got, but multiple wolves lay laden upon it - this girl was of pack. That complicated matters much more than he would have liked. Secrecy had been the entirety of his life, but here and now he had to become something completely different for the increase of the pack’s numbers. “Are you busy?” Heasked in spite of his introverted instincts screaming at him not to indict someone else on this foolhardy hunt, but it was the only thing the ebonian could think to do.

the silence lingered between them for quite the few moments but tundra was okay with that, remaining sitting as her dark eyes continue to observe the ebony man levelly. when he does speak it's quite the oddly suspicious question that slips from his jaws and the woman arches a brow skeptically. it had certainly been nothing she would have expected him to say that was for sure. after shifting her position slightly she would decide to go ahead and be honest out of mere curiosity as to what more he would come out with. "no..." she'd allow her head tilt to the side slightly, the rare flicker of amusement lighting in her doll-like eyes as she'd continue in her silky murmur "i'm curious as to why that matters though"
honestly she couldn't predict what he might say next in the slightest but was quite surprisingly secretly pleased for the conversation. initially the thought of having to converse with another had left her grumbling inwardly but now that he'd initiated it and didn't seem overly pressing it was almost a relief to have something to focus on besides the dark topics her mind liked to hurl at her full force.
of course she still had not an ounce of trust for the lone man and despite seeming to appear almost at ease, her muscles remained coiled under her thick pelt and ears kept on the alert to detect even the slightest movement that could suggest a threat so that muscles could uncoil like a spring. she would most definitely npt let herself get caught out, that at least she was sure of.

He bit his tongue at her response. Not hard enough to draw blood, but applied enough pressure to scold himself for this damned mission. It was straight failure from the beginning, and the dark prince was only adding more wood to the flames. But what if she held the water to finish this mess? Would she finish this silliness with an answer or a rejection to what was next to come clumsily from his lips?
“There’s been a missing wolf for a RedHawk pack. Some girl named Fire. Over there in the West of Teekon,” he dabbled the sentence to an inky close. Too much. He was telling too much. But it was contrary to the cause, as how would you search for someone without information? “Bright red girl.” Another inward groan strangled the majority of his lungs as he fought for the final sentence. “Could you assist in a search for her?” He silently inhaled, his lungs reaching for air as though he had drowned himself in a tar. It couldn’t be this hard to rewrite himself, could it?
