Two days he had been out of ccommission. His head had been tended to and the fever had been burned away in a delirious sleep that was not broken aside from doing so to drink or relieve himself and even then he only knew he did so because he was as clean as he could be when he woke up for good. He licked his lips, the dryness making him wince as he stood, stretched and found a stream to drink from. As he lowered his head a sharp pain behind his left ear made him wince and it was like someone shouted into his ear, calling his name. He looked up and shouted eyes wild "Steph!" the name came out harsh from his throat and left it raw as he coughed and stood there shaking trying to recall any hint of why he had said that name and not remembering a thing as had become his normal. He sat down upon the ground and stared at his surroundings, trying desperately to recognize anything and failing to do so. All he had was blankness and his name, Sunny which haunted him in itself since his world seemed so bleak.

She followed the scent at the borders to where it stopped and as she came closer to the wolf. "Dad?" She questioned lowering her body to the floor hoping this was really happening.

As he breathed in the air, processing through the scents one became increasingly stronger than the rest and he heard a voice tentatively speak out behind him. "Dad". The title rang hollow and his eyes widened as he stared at the girl hunched down below him. He swallowed "Yeah...uh" his voice was rough and he stopped not sure if he could manage to tell her the truth. This was his daughter...this beautiful young girl was something he had placed on the land. Who had her mother been?
"I hit my head. I can't remember. Anything. Even myself" it came out gentler, his eyes downcast and filled with sadness as he declared the truth. "I'd like to now that I'm not as sick" he tried to soften the load unsure how she would handle the news. "I want to still be a father" but could he? He wasnt sure about that, the declaration seemed so false to him in that moment.
