All Welcome
The cold bit at him and made him feel dour. The light of the sun had broken through the thick clouds in days. Every hour or so, flurries of snow would fall and find their place in the blanket of white on the ground.

Foxfur kept a safe distance from Akashingo, but his gaze was hot upon it.

He loathed the silver-muzzled man for being so staunch, so secretive. What investment did he have in the safety of the Starsea’s seer? The tired warrior could not help but wonder what Crowfeather must have said to him to spark such fierce protectiveness. Surely, the boy was telling lies.

Foxfur prowled through the meadow and watched only the mesa.

The cold bit at her nose like that old lady had. She rubbed her nose to warm it up. Who the hell had decided for the weather to be this cold? She groaned lightly and huffed out her fur to keep warm. She had been walking for a while, keeping warm like that and seeking shelters in the woods, but now she was in the open meadow, watching the mesa (though she wasn't aware that was its name). She curled her toes up under herself to keep them from falling off.

Makatza had never heard of Akashingo, she was completely out of the loop with anything pack related. She knew there was a claimed territory nearby, she had scented it, but she had stayed away. She wasn't about to join in on the fun of another pack with high expectations of her. She wanted her freedom, her life to be her own. She was an unruly child and wasn't about to become any better.

She was sitting there minding her own business as she watched another individual cross the meadow. She didn't say anything to him and just minded her own business. Until he came closer - closer. His eyes only looking at the mesa. "Hey! Watch where you are going" Makatza snapped toward him to keep him at bay, wondering why the idiot didn't keep his eyes on the ground he was walking on. She almost had to jump out of the way, but no way she would. She wasn't moving for some peasant who had two functioning eyes.

Actually she wasn't moving for anyone.

A sharp young voice stopped the warrior in his tracks.

Foxfur glanced toward the figure with a modicum of surprise. He hadn’t expected for there to be many others so close to the mesa clan. He also did not anticipate he might run into any who were under a year of age. This young girl had grown into a more comfortable size, but she was not an adult.

Sorry about that, the warrior remarked with a small nod of his head.

I am watching that clan, just there.

Foxfur motioned toward Akashingo with a small squint in his gaze. It was, at least, a reason for walking blindly. When he returned the worn brown of his eyes to the young woman, he attempted a feeble but tired smile. The warrior wondered what she was doing alone, no scent of a clan upon her, but he knew that he had enough to worry about.
