why are you scared of our children?

it was the first time since before the children were born that she and her husband shared the bed. she'd gotten used to the pudgy bundles of joy and misery fighting for the plushest part of the bed and herself.
reyna was no longer used to seeing @Nivis sprawled on boar hide, and she wasn't sure what to do.
but they were finally alone, and she'd tempered an anger for far too long.

do you even know their names? reyna chokes. she stands tall over him, crimson eyes bearing into her husband. lust mixes with disgust and anger — she loathes how much she's missed him. after what i've done to have them?

Oh, my dear Reyna! I am not scared of our children! Nivis says and smiles at her, turns around to look her in the eyes. It indeed was a while and she has looked stunning as always. Upset as always too; tired Nivis noticed.

Of course I do know their names… Villhelm, Natasha… Candela and the bratty one: she likes to sneak out at night!

Why are you here?

are you lost my little lamb, reyna?
in my heart perhaps?

imbecil. she muttered as he butchered their precious children's precious names. i'm here because we are husband and wife, and i don't know if your family taught you different, but husband and wives sleep in the same bed. and rear their children, and rule their kingdom together. whatever kingdom there was left.

it was them and their children, alongside the few that remained. her grandiose vision had crumbled around her, and only now when standing with the man she sought to build it with did she finally realize it. reyna, defeated, slumps to their bed with a sigh. all of the anger that boiled released in an instant.

que roña me das. reyna mutters into the rugged plush of the boar hide. but it's my fault, isn't it..?

Hmm? Nivis lifted his head up and the same did with his ears, giving his full attention to muttering Reyna. She seemed sad, frustrated. What a strange emotion Nivis hasn’t seen on her in a while. Your fault, what?

He stepped closer to Reyna, almost too careful to not touch her too much, when gently brushing his nose against her white fur. None is your fault, my dear Reyna.

Do you miss me? Looking up at her from below, her angry yet frustrating face told Nivis everything.

are you lost my little lamb, reyna?
in my heart perhaps?

his words, sweet as they were, rung hollow to her tired ears. angry as she may be, exhaustion dwindled that flame, and all she could do is look into dull crimsons and search for where had she gone wrong.

of course. of course i do, corazon. she rubbed her lips against his, grazing a kiss. i miss when you would make love to me. i miss when we would sleep together. i miss when i felt we could conquer everything.

Heh, Nivis scoffed and the corner of his mouth wobbled a little, forming a soft smile. It’s been a while indeed, my love. You are very needy today. Seeking my attention a little.

His lips didn’t land a kiss to hers, nor to her forehead or cheek. His lips didn’t return the kiss, and his head lifted upwards out of her reach. You’ve been busy. The sweet time was limited.

He paused, thinking.

Depression.

But it’s okay.

Eyes closed and lashes fluttering, gentle licks and a wet snot buried in her soft neck, inhaling. Kissing.

My confines are always open to you. The door never closes and I leave a little space for you to peek through. For you to enter and accompany in our little walk through the orchard. We still do conquer the world, a little differently perhaps.

Shall we then start the ritual again, my lady? Or is the dance outside of your liking? You shall tell, what you are planning.

are you lost my little lamb, reyna?
in my heart perhaps?
