Burke had been looking for Pyro to, in fact, give the boy his lunch. The male was carrying a rabbit which he decided was enough for the boy right now, though he couldn't really find him anywhere. Usually he was somewhere around the den. Maybe he was hiding from something again. Burke couldn't tell.

He was forced to tack his son down, follow his scent trail from this morning. It took him awhile though but when he heard something of a struggle. Burke dropped the rabbit and charged forward. He saw his son being picked up by some bird of prey. Burke instantly snarled at the bird in mid-run. How dare this bird think of his son as weak enough to be a meal. He was going to make this bird their meal if he could. Burke tried to leap for one of its wings and bite down on it.
