All Welcome

she woke to a eye-burning, blazing white. she lurched to her feet, accompanied by a choice word as snow exploded aroung her. and then another, as she remembered the way in which her paw pads were cracked and bleeding, tokan from a long while travelling on rough ground. last night, she had heard the first strains of an ancient melody, awakening an instinct and a drive within her. The howling, the haunting, melidious calls, had been like a call, something that had driven her further into the heart of the wilds. and she had listened, alone in the night as the stars glinted impossibly bright, until they were covered swiftly by cloud cover she had payed no mind to.

but now, there was snow everywhere. it was thick, and cold, though she realized that she was not. glancing at the divot in her feet, she made the connection. The snow had kept her warm...essentially, insulating her from the cold. Interesting.

the snow was blinding, and it blanketed everything. she knew she was somewhere up high...mountains. she knew of them, but had never before seen them, though once she had gone on a walk with her human near the foothills of small ones, a long distance from here. the woman gave herpelt a stiff shake, setting the chains of her collar jangling and the snow flying in a mini-blizzard from were it remained on her pelt.

Hope you don't mind :3

The air seemed colder and the winds much harsher as he travelled high up within the mountains, the large ebony male carefully roaming up its steep, snow-covered paths. At times, small rocks would fall from the icy ledge, the brute's anxious eyes would then slowly peer over to watch as they tumbled down the inclining, rough slope. Occasionally, the wolf brought himself to a short stop, bright eyes gazing out to the distant lands below him as he quietly studied the layout of the region. The dark male was unfamiliar with these lands, this place being a complete enigma to the roaming wolf, so as he continued to walk and pause in repetition, Neako's focused stare would take the time in each break to form a mental note of his surroundings. Since arriving within the wilds, Neako had figured it to be within his best interests to find the nearest high point and scout out these news lands from there. Maybe then, he'd have a better idea as to where he should begin his next journey.

Adventuring onward cautiously, the night colored brute came to a gradual halt, his leathery nostrils flaring as his nose twitched, the male's large head slowly lifting toward the air as he caught the strange scent of another lingering in the cold, bitter winds. A little spur of wonder gripped the wolf as he stared ahead , Neako's black and gray paws eventually guiding him further up the mountain path. He kept his rounded ears arched forward as he listened to the gentle howl of the wind, his golden eyes carefully searching for the source of this unusual aroma. 'It wasn't a coyote, or a wolf... or even a mix of the two. So what exactly was it?'
