Ocean's Breath Plateau Away from the sun

@Muses set before the fire

The sunkissed fur of the brute shined against the suns beam as he laid atop the plateau. No, winter was not the wolf's most favored time, in fact it was the opposite, but that wouldn't turn him into a grumpy killjoy like plenty others. His optimistic point-of-view got the best of him during the coldest time of year, and he wouldn't allow the bitter air or numb paws keep him from traveling, as it was one of his many favorite pass times. The snow he laid in had created a dent, growing deeper the longer he stayed still as more and more snowflakes slowly piled around. Being around the coast wasn't the warmest place, and each salty breath of wind caused the man to shiver, but for the soothing crash of the ocean and sense of nostalgia that washed over him he stayed put. It brought back memories of his rather large family playing about in the waters, and his uncle, Poseidon, teaching him how to swim. It was times like this he missed his past home the most, be he had just gone to visit the last few months ago, and couldn't allow himself to stay forever, especially with so much of Teekon that he had yet to discover.

Apollo hadn't been to the beach of the wilds yet, and in fact didn't even know he was back in Teekon, but sooner or later he would figure it out. Perhaps run into past friends, though he hadn't made many in the short time he spent here. His eyes would occasionally drift closed, but it was impossible to fall asleep in the damp and wintery plateau. He then decided to accompany the captivating sight before him with a song, and so he parted his lips and began to sing, "While you live, shine," he caroled, his tail began to sway along with the beat, "Don't suffer anything at all;" It was an ancient song from his homeland, one that he often sang when missing it.
Apollo's fluent in both Greek and Latin.
I've seen all the demons that you've got.

She was happy to patrol the coastal region every now and then. It was certainly a change from her steep and snowy mountains, but at least the weather was cool, and the wind was biting. The cold temperatures suited her just fine, although she did not realize mild winters were often paired with hot summers. Nonetheless, until she experienced such a thing herself, she was happy to remain where she felt as though she was finally beginning to feel like she was a part of a family.

The feeling was so strong, that even the whistle of the sea-born wind began to sound soothing to her. She hummed along tunelessly, moving away from her forested home, moving automatically. Eventually, she and the wind harmonized, a vaguely familiar melody ebbing and flowing like the tide. The longer she listened, the more apparent it became that someone was, in fact, singing out yonder. Her jaws snapped shut, and her gilded ears swivelled forward. Lowering herself into a hunter's position, she stalked the sound until the words became crisp and clear.

The lyrics brought a smile to her maw, caught somewhere between pleased and wistful. It was a charming tune that sounded oddly familiar. "That's a lovely song." She offered, stopping some distance from the snow dusted lump that was singing, hoping not to startle the stranger.

The golden wolf continued to sing the song of Seikilos, far too focused on the melody than to realize another was listening to his tune. "Life exists only a short while," he continued on a bright grin now forming agaisnt his maw as he lifted his head higher to sing to the sun with joy. "And time demands its toll." No, this was not the original version of his carol, but a translated piece he'd conjured up with his time among English speakers. Of course, he could speak in the formal language it was given, but he preferred to stay fluent with his surroundings and fit it with the most common vocabulary around.

It wasn't till a feminine voice chimed did he turn his head, strangley unsurprised by the sudden strangers appearance. His smile stayed as he trailed his eyes along the fae's silhouette, before meeting her silvery, glowing, moon-resembling eyes, to which his gaze paused. She was a beautiful thing, no doubt, and her generous comment was taken well. Apollo was not embarressed by the fact she overheard his song, but instead was proud someone stumbled upon his solo. "Thank you very much, Miss." The almond glance did not falter upon her orbs, and he shifting himself to face her entirely, now standing up and revealing half his coat to be damp from the snow he laid in.
