Blacktail Deer Plateau On the borders

Dante enjoyed hearing Peregrine talk of his pack. This was a true alpha, to speak with such joy and exuberance. His eyes were alight with it, and his love for his pack was obvious. This talk was making the life of a loner seem all the more, well, lonely, but Dante was very glad that Peregrine's pack was doing well. In fact, surprised at how glad he was. He really liked this male, and the fact that his happiness made Dante glad showed that he already considered Peregrine somewhat a friend. Normally it took a few conversations for such a thing to occur.

"I'm sorry, I mean no offense. I've just never held any aspirations towards leadership. In my home pack, I should have inherited the role of Comm- Alpha, but obviously that did not work out. I would rather someone more suited to making such decisions make them. I would make a terrible leader." Dante smiled sheepishly. He had almost slipped, but corrected himself. Obscurum ranks were unknown here. Thank heavens for that much.
