Nikai didn't realise just how big 'the world' really was, or he might've laughed at his own suggestion of seeing it all. "Visit Moonspear and Alya, go to the ocean, climb the mountains, visit Rannoch and his pack who live in the mountains to the west..." There was just so much to do — he didn't really have time to do it all, even if he would've had four working legs, Nikai felt, and now precious time was trickling away.
