Note: He's actually west of Nova Peak near the coast but there's no way to define that. RO introduction post.

The crunch of dried leaves underfoot was the only indication that someone was present, and even then the sound was asynchronous, similar to a hearty breeze rifling through the many layers of autumn. There were birds in the trees, too. They called to one another, but silenced as this wind blew through the boughs. Perhaps they sensed something was amiss—but soon enough they were calling one another again with their many songs. Soon enough they would have forgotten about the sound of something traipsing through their grove; the wind would lose its subtle warmth, its animal scent, and the aroma of the nearby sea would dominate again.

The wolf passed through with only a turned ear to the sound of the birds as they sang, but otherwise did not seem bothered by their presence just as they were not bothered by his. He drifted. Soon enough he was on his way south, leaving nothing to indicate his passage except for the crushed fragements of forgotten leaves—but the wind would take these too, and spread them like ashes across the wood.
