saucy was laughing, dalia seemed bemused, and velen chuckled at her quip. "you be ambassador to the crabs, then," he purled back, stride carrying him after the giggling coconut-eater. he flanked their companion, eyes fixed on the cliffs they seem to have both spotted. "my other brother is ford. he doesn't have acid spit, but there's this one look he has, where he just stares at you and you confess your deepest sins." 
he was trotting slightly ahead of the feminine pair, angling himself in an awkward sideways step so that he could run his mouth and watch for their reactions at the same time. what he had said about ford was not entirely inaccurate: the cool regard of his brother could break hardened men. "let me know if you want me to carry your nut, friend," he tossed to saucy, tongue lolling in a cavalier grin.
