All Welcome
Forward dated a bit. @Elision

Evening had arrived much faster than it did on summer nights. It was as though the sun had touched the land with as much magic as it could and it had grown tired. It was time for the winter months to take hold. The grip of frigid air had already done what it needed to the land. Everything was dry and prepared for heavy snowfall. Already, flickers of white had dropped from above and littered portions of the lands near to there. The mountain peaks were capped in frosted white. It would not have been long before the ground followed suit.

In the strange half-light that lingered between evening and night, the prowler passed through the red stone canyon. He had cheated his way across their map of sprawling territories. Though he had intended to stop in many locations along his way, there was something about the formidable mountain range that lured him closer. It was not until he was beneath the magnitude of it that he understood.

Sauntering on, Sojourn seemed as though he had found a way to blend between the vibrant shades of orange and red, and the impending nightfall. The wind kicked through the canyon and whistled against the stones before it passed and left the area with a hollow feeling of loss. The last bits of sun were fading behind the mountains, leaving the earth to frigid shadow and the creatures of the night.
