how amusing she came upon the origin of her previous patient without realizing it. blood, old blood, caked the snow around her. she had met the wolf who was at the cause and result of this days prior, by the coast. his scent was still fresh in her mind. it appeared she had found the reason for his wounds. pale gaze lifted, spotting a new man a few paces away. he seemed engrossed with his work. prodding and digging about. mayhap he was unaware of the situation, mayhap he was an ally of the other she had treated. well, whatever the case, she chose to approach.

she did not, however, do it out of concern or compassion. the man was there. she was here. it mattered not. others had taken it upon themselves to approach her without meaning these last few days. why not do the same as them? get into the mood of, ah, native customs? "no body. or bodies" she mused as she neared him, though her tone was a bit silent it could still be heard "a good omen, perhaps?" she was speaking of the fact no fallen souls had rested here. no dead.

and how utterly dull that was.
