The stringy silhouette of his rawboned physique slunk its way to the mountain's summit where the grisly shriek of a doomed eagle announced his ominous arrival to the wilds once more. And though the rag-king returned in beggarly conditions, his inflated ego and savage ambitions remained all the same and he'd be damned if he let anyone interrupt his sinful ploy this time round.

So, with an arrogant kick in his step, the brazen yearling set himself upon the freckled peak and lifted a gawky leg to claim the crest as his own. It would provide what necessities he'd need to regain his strength despite it's ill-favored appearance and, seeing as how likely no one else would seek to declare the charred ridge their own, Kerkios hoped to skid by without running into a handful of complications - at least until he could secure himself a more favorable dwelling.

Amsu had spent most of his time recently within the canyon territory. After getting a tentative go-ahead from Stigmata to create his pack, he’d taken the time to really explore the place. However, even he sometimes needed a break from its brightness. The red walls were a stark contrast to the snow everywhere else in Teekon Wilds right now, and although Amsu was not really equipped to deal with snow, he still loved to look at it. It was so different from anything he’d known growing up.

He’d left the canyon a few days ago and now wandered the mountains, wondering who he’d meet along the way. Now he found himself among the dead trees of a burned down forest. Had he been here before? He thought he must have, for he remembered wondering why the Light has decided to send Fire down upon this place. He was quiet here, reverential, aware of the death this place had experienced. But hopefully, come spring, new life would appear. The death was old, not fresh, and he expected he might see green shoots popping up out of the ground if he came back in warmer weather.

There was a wolf urinating ahead of him, so he awkwardly stopped, cleared his throat, and then looked anywhere but directly at the male, not wanting to interrupt his tinkle time (LOL I didn’t know what else to call it). “Hello,” he called softly, unsure of what else to say and not wanting to break the silence of this sacred place.

It was no surprise that his glorious decent into the mountain range was met with a foreign face, for this was not his first regrettable run around with the locals and, should he wish to deploy the brewing schemes in his mind, would certainly not be the last. And like the rest of them he'd had the unfortunate pleasure of meeting, the motley hued man greeted him with a weak 'hello' that made the egotistical brat's tongue go dry and nose quiver in fervent disgust.

After all his new found company had quite literally stumbled about him as he deliberately pissed atop the summit with the clear intent of claiming it and yet still no bow or submissive mannerism was made towards him - a gesture he truthfully believed he deserved considering the agouti wanderer had intruded upon his new territory. So with a single throaty puff of air, Kerkios curled his spindly tail neatly atop angular hips and awaited a greeting actually worthy of his precious time.

Amsu recoiled a little at the male’s obvious disliking of him. What had he done wrong? The desert-dweller saw, then, that the male curled his tail over his back in a dominant gesture. Amsu immediately lowered his body closer to the ground, tail tucked around one leg. “Amsu apologizes,” he murmured, keeping his voice low out of respect. “He did not mean to intrude. He can go if this one wishes…” He took a step back to prove his point, pausing for a moment just to see if that was what the dominant male wanted or not. Amsu was not one for fighting. If leaving is what was asked of him, he would do it.
