All Welcome
AW! Know that @Dawson will probably join at some point, if not right away.

It had been over a week since Cordelia had fallen into the Teekon Wilds, but she was still on the move. Dawson had assured her that their destination would not be remote, but Cordelia could think of no other way to describe it. They had avoided a direct route over the mountains to assist Cordelia with her injured ankle, undoubtedly slowing their journey. Even with that in consideration she perceived it to be unbearably long.

She could not be directly agitated. After all she hadn’t asked for a definite time frame, and length of a journey using relative terms was completely up to someone’s perspective. In truth her predicament wasn’t appalling, simply undesired. The safety, renewed shelters, and stead flow of nourishment was plenty satisfactory. For that she praised Dawson repeatedly with little pestering.

Today Dawson had settled on an excavated rabbits burrow for Cordelia to rest in. The climb strained her ankle, but a look over the nearby surrounding were required for them to advance.

Waking from a refreshing shuteye she noticed the absence of Dawson. It wasn’t the first time. He needed his alone time and space to hunt. Luckily over the course of their jaunt her ankled had been healing well. She was now able to walk on flat earth without Dawson to shoulder her, she was was still not about to hunt or do much that required vigor.

Stepping out from the burrow and taking a calming stroll around she made sure to groom away the dirt and immaculate her appearance. Along the way rabbits and fowl entered her vision, causing her great disdain as uninjured she would have little difficulty catching them.

What a quaint stroll. The typical spring day, rife with the scent of fresh bloom and first air by newly sprung grass and reawoken timbers. The spring was a time of courtly jaunts with a brother, or a chase with mates. It could have been so much more bountiful with his brothers, and almost slightly, he missed the bulky hulks. They would enjoy a few romps together in the early springtime, reminiscing their plays as pups and enjoying the excercise- the Ray knew those times were what brought them closer together and related them through blood.

The most he could do with the woman he kept with him was court her; spring and fresh beginnings for nature brought about that unbelievable feeling. The Odolf could not decide whether it was best for him to do so so soon, but eventually he would have to admit his feelings for her.

A shedding snowshoe hare bound a few feet up, but it had caught wind of him and scampered off. The partridge that he carried deligently in pale jaws had not. Dawson wondered if Corra appreciated flowers as he brought the plump bird up to the abandoned den. But alas, there, she was not. With discomfort bedding in him rather swiftly, irritation came quite soon after.
Why could she not stay still? To remain where he knew she would be? She was inevitably forcing him to look for her, and as her guardian, he should not have to do so.

Ceruleans checked about the perimeter before he deftly flung the bird in the very back of the den. Spraying himself across the front of the border entrance, he made it known this was a fresh territory of his own before he lowered his dapper crown down and began his hunt for the wandering woman.

As she moseyed atop the plateau she pushed her bothered emotions aside. There was no point dwelling on prey that could not be caught. Just as Dawson needed his alone time she speculated a short time of her own in solitude could do her good. Time to foresee what pleasantries she might find rather than the seemingly abundant blunders.

But concerned thoughts mingled in her mind keeping her from such bliss. Always present was the wellbeing of her blood and kingdom, both unknown and unable to be influenced by her will. Her current bearing gave her much more to regard. The cost of Dawson's services was still unclear. Nearly healed what did he expect from her thereafter. What could she provide that he was unable to achieve himself, and how much time would be allowed for her to attain it? She still held out hope a comrade would retrieve her from these lands. It seemed uncaring to leave Dawson unrewarded for his courtesies.

Just then a light gust of wind captured her attention and prompted her to turn to gaze to its source. An edge of the plateau. Strolling over to it, her eyes gleamed at the sight. The world below seemed so vibrant and lively. Biomes of various degrees supporting contrasting likes of nature. The breeze continuing to caress her cheeks and figure as she stood peering out. Lifting her sweet scent into the air. Closing her eyes and taking a soothing breath she was temporarily alienated. Free of woe and lighter than air. Her fur whisking in the wind. A true smile appeared on her face, one she had not made since prior to the aging ceremony.

Though it took some time to follow the whispers of spring miracle, he eventually found the pearly woman, a majestic sight against the backdrop of existence both beyond and below this standing plateau. Had he not been so flustered with ensuring her well-being remained intact, he would have found her remarkably angelic, breathtaking and stunning in all gloried forms.

"Your meal awaits you in the den, Corra," he drug baritones to her back until she may or may not have turned, his sky-kissed orbs scanning the edges of the rocken playa to ensure none came to maul either of them. Eventually they returned to the dame, and idly the serpent followed up with something quite out of the ordinary. "If I may- what are your favored flora? I haven't seen you take much notice of anything. I figured it would be better to ask than leave it rotting in ignorance."

Should she leave the top edge of the rocken ledge, he would begin their trek to return to the temporary base. The Ray was explicably unaware of her mental troubles, and thus did not acknowledge that which he knew not of. Selfish bastard.

The sound of a familiar voice broke her trance as she slowly opened her eyes and looked his way. Though it was not spoken she suspected he held disapproval for her absence from his chosen sanctuary. Having broken a wordless rule she thought to atone in advance. She bowed her head in thanks, "Thank you, Dawson. I did not expect your arrival to be so imminent, yet I do not underestimate your efficiency to claim game. My apologies for my imposition in your quest to discover me." she spoke, her muzzle pointed to the floor through the entirety of her words, only to rise ensuing.

Curiously, his next focus was thrust to flora and her preferenced. A glimpse of her past rushed about her mind. Back to before the ceremony, her mother and her crown. It caused her a faint loss of breath before she pushed to answer "Emerald blue phlox" she spoke and momentary remained oddly silent.

What were his motives? The question played in her mind. So many of his actions uncalled for. She had developed a sense he preferred to avoid certain questioning, but which she was still amiss. With risk, she proceeded "Why the inquiry? Surely I do not deserve more than that which is currently being provided. Or even that... Further....... I wonder of your necessities, those which I may be able to fulfill to ease additional burdens brought upon by my presence." perhaps she could repay her debts before they accumulated interest.
