for tha babies @Tizir @Xizur

He seeks to visit his children that day, suddenly having become aware that they did in fact exist. Vaati would not make the same mistake he made with his siblings -- he would not ignore their presence whilst he led a pack, completely forfeiting his right to call them his own. But he had not truly met them, not like Grezig, for he was not their primary caregiver. He did not know their personalities or understand their cries or even know what pups did. And so he saw no issue with it when he pulled one from his slumber and rolled him on his back, like a baker rolling a lump of dough. It was amusing, to see them wiggle and move about with no understanding of the world that laid around them. But they were strong -- that much was clear. “You’ll be a fighter.” He says so with certainty to the boy, for he was already much larger than the other.

However, there is very little he expects of them in the nicest way possible. The titan does not expect them to adopt the qualities of his family or himself, and would not be disappointed if they did not. As long as they grew to be smarter than he had been in his youth, that was good enough for him.

The one thing Xizur enjoyed just as much as food, if not more, was his beauty sleep. His sister and mother were pretty decent about not accidentally bumping him awake, though his father was unfortunately oblivious to that tiny detail. Of course Xizur didn't really care about who it was that woke him, he just knew he was awake now and that there was no going back to sleep. So like any grumpy lumpy child might do, he threw a tantrum - biting, kicking, and growling at just about anything within range. If his father was right about anything, it's that he'd be a fighter all right.

Maybe Xizur would be a fighter, but not Tizir. Tizir was destined to be a star-gazer, a moon chaser, a collector of religions. In a fight, she’d be useless. But her father didn’t know that. She had been sleeping also when he’d come in and disturbed Xizur. Her brother’s crying and growling woke her up with a start and she turned bleary eyes towards him. What she saw terrified her. There was a strange male who had rolled Xizur onto his back. Xizur was now fighting the male, who was much bigger than either of them. Whimpering, she lay on the ground and tried to make herself smaller, staring up at the massive male with wide eyes.

The boy does not wake quietly, chomping down and scratching where he could in protest. There is no doubt he is Vaati’s son. The titan laughs softly, nudging the boy, again and again, to instigate the small brawl even more -- sooner the boy learned to hold his ground, the better life would favour him.

However, a whimper causes his eyes to snap to the girl. He notes her attempt to cower away, but no child of his would be terrified of their own father. “Come here, Tizir.” He lifts and plants the girl between his forepaws, taking his attention away from the boy. “Now what will you be?” Vaati looks to her and begins to clean the dirt from her pelt. “Not like your brother, I’m sure.” No, she was too timid for that. Perhaps it was something she would grow out of, but perhaps not. Either way, Vaati would not allow one strand of hair on her head to be harmed, and in that sense, she had no need to be a fighter so long as he lived.
