Yami was surprised to see Firefly back away from the ledge. To be more exact, it was the look on his face as he did so that made her pause. He clearly was not very comfortable with what she had suggested, which made her wonder a little about this so-called desire for adventure he kept talking about. Apparently, their future adventuring would not involve mountain climbing.

She smirked at his encouragement and looked back down the face of the cliff, mapping out her route. She'd already determined that this was a chance for her to show off for him, though it wasn't anything she previously would've considered to be impressive. After a moment of plotting, Yami trotted a few yards further down the the edge of the precipice before hopping lightly off the side with barely a pause in between.

The former Ostrega continued down the cliff in this manner, artfully hopping from ledge to ledge and moving along the small paths she could find in between. When she reached the same plane at the fawn, it was too fearful and uncertain to do anything more than just stare up at her as she grabbed it by the neck and killed it with a quick jerk of her head.

She repositioned her hold on it to clench her jaws around its spine where it would be slightly less in her way as she made the climb back up, and then it was back to manuevering the cliff face like a mountain ninja until she was dropping the fawn at Firefly's paws.

"I wish all hunts were that easy," Yami commented nonchalantly as she sat back on her haunches to catch her breath.
