All Welcome
Mesa was patrolling along the terminus point of a lower ridge when he spotted something moving; he wasn't sure what he was witnessing as the white shape jostled along the nearby rock face, but it was new and curious to him. He drifted down from the ledge and on to the packed dirt along the territory's limit, striding confidently towards the sheer rock face until he lost sight of the shape. It didn't look canid.

As he hiked across a patch of exposed greenery between the trees, he got another glimpse and noticed that the shape had four limbs, and looked remarkably like a deer. He hadn't hunted a deer before, but he'd seen pieces, even eaten from carcasses following pack hunts, so his interest grew. At his core Mesa was some sort of feral beast, and the look of this potential target was alluring. He didn't move his gaze from the bulk white shape as he maneuvered closer, but had to stop when the path gave out to another crevice that he could not find an immediate way around.

It seemed as if the target knew of the limitation, and picked up on his presence with a taunting bleat; at least from this distance Mesa could make out the curving shapes of horns on the creature's head. He worried he'd miss his opportunity to hunt the creature down; how was he supposed to reach something that could scale stone walls? Sad.

There was a certain finesse that came from hunting along the mountains edge. Skills that Sadiq had still yet to master. While he appreciated the chill that came from the mountain air he was still skeptical about the sheer drops that accompanied the pleasant temperature. He was, however, inspired by his youngest family members when if came to the deftness of foot. They had a knack for this ridges that only came from being born amongst them.

Again he was impressed by the hefty silver boy as he traversed the slim edges even with his wide paws and lanky form. Sadiq could see the similarities between their forms, and he knew that Mesa was gonna be a giant, just like himself. With a small smile, Sadiq looked between the mountain goat and his young nephew. “That’s a mountain goat.”

He looked very much like a cat trying to judge distance - running along one edge, casting his eyes to nearby points in quick succession, then dashing to another angle, and another, but everything seemed utterly out of reach. Mesa was about to test his mettle when a voice erupted from nearby - he had been reaching for an adjacent ridge that wouldn't have supported his weight to begin with, and startled back to the stable earth with a sharp turn.

The pale stranger wasn't really a stranger; he'd seen them around before, often mistaking his aunts and uncles for his mother Takiyok since they all held similar shapes and colors. The boy narrowed his eyes for a split second as he tried to differentiate which wolf this was, but couldn't concoct a name. When he turned back to the creature bleating at him and watching from on high, he loosed a frustrated bark - and the goat bleat an onerous tone in reply.

I wanna get him! He shouted next as his spine bristled, fanning his tail out behind him with an arrogant twist. His stupid face and stupid noises!! How does he climb like that? That's not fair! COME DOWN GOAT! But the louder he got the further the goat felt compelled to climb, until he was practically out of sight - and safe.
