All Welcome
The hinterlands weren't as bountiful as he had hoped. Yutani decided to make his way towards the coast again, but he didn't really know which way would get him there, and spent at least a day wasting his time trying to find an exit trail. The mountains were obviously impenetrable—he was no mountaineer but he wasn't exactly willing to burn through the rest of his calories in an attempt to scale the barrier they posed. The best he could do was to keep up with the racing river; the falls of the hinterlands sat behind him, and the memories of the pretty girls he'd come across in his travels kept him warm at night.

After that there was more forest, and he couldn't help but groan. The minerality in the air was soothing to him though, and it was a quality that the previous region hadn't held, so that gave him hope. It felt like progress. The weald became so twisted and dark the further north he travelled in to it though—so much so that Yutani wondered if he'd been tricked somehow, waylayed by some malevolent force.

Just for a change of pace he veered south and spent a day or so exploring the barren quarry, at least until he was so hungry and so frustrated that not even the scent of wolf could bring any enthusiasm to his features. His jaw was set, his eyes half-lidded, and when that scent hit his nose they rolled in his head a little bit. So many wolves thus far in his travels but nothing to eat—no wonder this place was an empty mess.

I hope you don't mind Katya!

She had begun to travel the expanse of the Great Bear Wildness, stopping at Chimera Fields in search of any of the ever alluding prey. She realized, rather quickly, that the prey of Teekon Wilds were harder to find than she had originally thought, and required much more effort to track down. She followed the scent of rabbit for a few miles before the smell had grown stale, and within a few moments she picked up on the trail of a female badger that was going in the opposite direction. She would settle for the larger badger, despite it being a worthy opponent in its own right--she was just desperate enough to attempt to take it down.

It didn't take her long to pick up on the scent of wolf as well, she could tell from the musk alone that it was a male and considering the fact that there was no stench of pack on the wind, she had a hunch that this male was a loner. She knew from her teachings and personal experience, that loners were unpredictable opportunists and approached the wolf merely because the scent of the badger followed the same direction that he was. She supposed she could pass this male easily, without much interaction if she didn't engage with him, that in itself for Katya was difficult.

It took a moment before she considered the possibility that this male was tracking the badger as well, and immediately she found her posture change to a more defensive stance--one in which she attempted to make herself appear larger, in case this wolf took offense to her moving in on his meal. "I hope I'm not encroaching on claimed lands..." she spoke finally, watching the male's every move and watching for any posture changes from him. She knew these lands weren't claimed and she was sure that he would soon catch her bluff, but it could potentially gain her information of why he was here.
