for someone she hasn't met yet, but AW still!

her time in the spire had been quiet, reclusive, and very needed. she was growing older, the sense of mortality came into her mind often. soon, she'd be entering her 6th year of life, and what did she have to offer? not a husband, no children to carry on her legacy of kindness; nothing. perhaps, she should invest in husband hunting at some point, at this point she'd die alone if she didn't try.

there was something about the idea of marriage that enticed her. the idea of giving one's entire heart to the other, the commitment and the bond the two must share, snuggles -- it caused heat to rush towards her cheeks. her heat had left already, and she wasn't too different in her behavior, despite the different scent she gave off and her more needy side came through.

she found herself nestled up against a large pillar of jagged rock, a tooth of a dragon that fell from the sky. the snow had stopped falling, though it still huddled around her like a blanket. her leags were folded up underneath her and she found herself drifting off slowly.

is it okay if this is backdated a few days? :o thought they should meet since star is also an old single lady hehe

Star too, was up in her years. Time had passed and passed and she figured she was destined to be alone- to spend her life working for her pack. It had always been what she'd wanted- to be the most loyal and steady guardian- right? And so when spring came, she would admire the little puppies from the sidelines as she always had. Thade and Phaedra were the newest little ones in Sagtannet, and though she had not seen them yet, she was sure she would be teaching them to hunt in a few month's time.

While roaming the Spire, eventually she comes across a gentle woman curled up to rest, similar in age to Star. She recognizes her as one of the ones who came from Courtfall too, but does not know her by name. Star figures she should meet her, but feels a bit too awkward to try and disturb the woman- so she simply approaches, laying down a yard or two away and settling her head on her ivory paws to wait.

yes works for me! and star and gracious can be grannie pals lol

it isn't long until gracious has another sould join her, a woman of similar color and surprisingly -- similar age. it somewhat felt isolating when others were significantly younger than yourself, it made gracious feel older than she should. the crunching of snow was what brought her attention, the new scent came next, and then finally the figure. she recognized her, though couldn't remember her name for the life of her. courtfall wolves had seemingly meshed easily with the diaspora to create sagtannet, yet the proud courtfall members were still different.

"we're getting a little old for this, aren't we? bundled up on mountains in the cold and snow" she asked with a joking tone. she had a feeling this woman could understand the sense of humor gracious was going for. it was like wisdom, it came with age and time. "you'll have to forgive me for asking this but, I can't recall your name. you were apart of courtfall, no?"

great! :D

But it seemed the woman hsd not fully fallen into slumber, for she gazes at Star as she settles, before greeting her with the sort of humor that appealed to Star. Joking about her own age was nothing unfamiliar, and so she chuckles light-heartedly at the woman's words. We are, indeed. Would be nice if one of my last winters was a bit more gentle, but they only seem to get colder each year... or maybe I'm getting weaker. She laughs in return.

At her companion's next words, she grins. Don't worry at all- honestly, I don't recall your name either. Forgive me. She chuckles, before introducing herself. I was in Courtfall- I was the mavroimë, Star... and yourself? She wonders, finally lifting her head up off her paws as if with great effort.

colder or weaker, it was hard to tell with these old bones that get rattled easy. but sometimes age didn't matter, gracious could still put up a fair fight, and she could only assume that star could as weel. she certainly looked like she had been able to handle herself easily for quite some time now. older, but stronger; two tundrian woman ready to tackle the world even with a little ache in their joints.

star was her name, and gracious smiled at it. it was short, simple, and seemed descriptive of the wolf before her, a star that fell from its throne in the sky. as for the position, gracious thought back to it for a moment, perhaps that was the mercenary rank. gracious' parents wanted nothing more than for their largest child to grow up to be a fighter with her large size. yet in the end, all they got was a plush girl who liked to talk about her feelings.

"gracious, i served as the feafelme for our court." she thought back to the vale, to her old den, to the pool she so lovingly sat herself at each day. she missed it dearly and wondered about how it remains now, untouched or perhaps utilized by other nearby life. "what do you think of the diaspora wolves that we have merged with? i haven't been able to contact any other original court members besides wintersbane and hear what they have to say."
