King Elk Forest could frame thy fearful symmetry?

As soon as she set foot in the splendid King Elk Forest, Sugar's mind flashed back to the previous winter. She shuddered lightly at the recollection, feeling a chill despite the early July heat. At least you're nearly there, she thought to herself, making haste as she wove through the trees toward Silver Creek and the Frosthawks' domain just beyond.

She very nearly reached the far edge of the woods when Sugar stopped suddenly, the pitch black fur along her spine suddenly standing on end. Her ears pricked atop her head as she swept the surrounding trees with her beady black eyes. She detected absolutely nothing out of the ordinary, so she faced forward... just in time to see the woods' namesake stag rushing toward her.
