Honeyed Pasture mayday

Her heartbeat pounds in her ears, behind her eyes as she meets her mark, fangs gripping around the young girl's unrepentant muzzle.  In one fluid motion she drives the girl's face into the dirt as a show of dominance, her blackened tail arced high over her hindquarters.  A furious snarl rips from her throat as she smears the girl's face into the dirt.

She finds she's unable to keep her opponent's mouth shut, and lets out a yelp as the rusty woman's teeth find purchase in Electra's paw.  Driven by pain and fury, she uses the moment she releases to aim instead at the girl's scruff, with the intent on driving her back into the dirt.  Blood pools between her toes and into the mud, and Electra twists in an attempt to both yank her foot free from the other's grip and shove her shoulder against the girl's body — the idea being that if she could get a hold of the girl's scruff, she could push her over into the ground with her shoulder and declare victory from her advantageous position.

If she were to fail, however, her injured foot would not be in a position to carry both the weight of herself and her opponent.  It was a risky move, but one she was hoping would pay off.
