Hi ppl who were nice enough to join this thread. This is NOT a joining thread, just a Vale wandering around thread. lol :)

Vale walked along the coast, letting the salty water wash over the wounds he got from the stupid lynx. He knew from the healers of his pack that salt water helped even if it stung badly. At least I took down the damned lynx and had a good meal, he thought as he padded deeper into the water, leaving only his head above. Ocean blue eyes spotted a wave rushing towards him and suppressed a groan as he watched move at lightning speed towards him. A small part of him wondered if Mercury was purposely playing tricks on him. The scarred Roman coughed as the water swept over his head and he fought for air as he attempted to bob up wishing Scipio was here. That damned boy who's patron was the exact god that made this waves could help drag him towards shore.

The water swept him further from the shore as he used his last strength to swim closer to the. This is not how I want to die, he muttered half amused, though the thought gave him renewed energy and prayed silently to both Neptune and Mercury as he kicked his strong limbs, hoping to make it to the shore. It seemed that the gods had heard his prayer as he collapsed onto the shore and dragged himself on the sand. This time he wasn't too near any claimed lands and gave a soft sigh of relief before closing his eyes, white fur ruffled as he drifted into the realm of Somnus. But that wouldn't last long, the nightmares would come after him.

heyo!

Different rays of light shone down through the dark cedar forest, illuminating patches of ground like spotlights. Tethys had stayed out of them, opting to lounge under the opulent shade of a tree.

The remains of a fish lay several paces away as the raveness rolled onto her side, neck stretched out across the rich grass, her paws occasionally kneading the earth as she squirmed for a comfortable position. Relaxing would only come when she truly felt at home, and for now, Teekon was a resort. She could pick to unpack her luggage and live here, or keep traveling to some other fantastic locale. Teekon did have it's perks, though. The ocean coast that she could readily watch through the tree trunks was quite alluring with it's clear blue waves and sandy white beaches. And there were plenty of heavily wooded areas that reminded her of her northern island and coastal rain forest home.

She was about to close her sharp skyline eyes when something suddenly dispatched itself from the lulling waves. At once she was on her paws, striding out of the forest and onto the beach with a quick, light gait. Was it a carcass? A seal, marooned at sea? Her jaws were open in anticipation, but then the aroma hit her. Under the smell of wet dog and kelp lay a silverfish white wolf, who had seemingly crawled out of the ocean and collapsed onto the pristine sand. Tethys halted, her ears quivering with excitement. What a find. Once more, she walked, stopping at his prone side, nosing it roughly. The brute was breathing, barely, but had fainted from exhaustion.

Supppppp

Slightly groggy from his slumber, the nightmares plaguing his thoughts as usual. Vale felt a muzzle poke at his back, all his strength was gone from swimming. He just laid there trying his best not to break into full Roman mode and massacre whoever had the time to poke him. He stiffened slightly as it got nearer to his flank, could that damned whatever just stop for the sake of the gods? And even though he was exhausted, when he felt it again, he leaped up. Ears flattening against his skull, lips drawn back in a snarl as his sharp fangs gleamed. The scar glowing bright white. Ocean blue eyes cold and harsh as he stared, his temper lying on the edge, at the stranger. It was a black wolf with dark eyes.

Ashamed by the sudden bolt of fear at the nosing, though anger and pride still rushed defiantly through his veins, he gave her a brief wary nodded. Ears still flattened although the snarl and vanished as he rose to his full height. The scarred Roman still undoubtedly handsome despite looking so bloody. She did not smell of a pack so he assumed that she was a lone wolf, he did not trust her at all so he kept a straight, emotionless mask. Resisting the urge to just growl at her, he spoke in an accented voice "Hello, why were you nosing at me?" he paused "You are a lone wolf?" He asked politely, even though he was already sure that she was.

When her administrations of proddings had finally woke the light gray brute, Tethys leapt back as he jumped up also, giving her a healthy snarl. Instead of responding, she only looked amused and pleased that he wasn't fully dead. And the male seemed to regain a smooth and stoic composure as soon as he had fully come to his senses.

I'm sure if I was in a pack, we'd be swarming all over you right now, Tethys grinned. Her bright pools, the color of a cool river, gave the stray male a once-over. Muscular, large, a light silvery-white coat that was drying fast, but plastered with sand and blood, and a scar that crossed the bridge of his muzzle. Undoubtedly handsome, and she liked what she saw underneath his messy cloak. Unlike most coastal wolves, who were trim and built like otters, this wolf carried the aura of a soldier.

She slid forward, paws easily molding into the sand. He was covered in sea debris and scrapes that reddened his coat. Calmly, the dark female picked a wad of seaweed stuck to the side of his neck and spit it out. You don't seem the type to be swimming around.

Ocean blue eyes scanned her with wariness, she looked amused, pleased and that made him even warier of her. 'I'm sure if I was in a pack, we'd be swarming all over you right now," the dark stranger grinned. Keen steely eyes caught the way she looked at him as if analyzing him. He concealed his initial amusement at that, someone using his own medicine against himself. The scarred Roman canted his head slightly as she approached with ease. It reminded him of Scipio, who had always been more of a water wolf despite his muscular stocky build. Perhaps the blood of Neptune was stronger within him that it was with them and with his patron also the god of the sea....

He told himself not to stiffen as she leaned towards his neck, picked up a wad of seaweed and spat it out. "You don't seem the type to be swimming around." He remained stoic and indifferent although a flicker of amusement crossed his blue eyes. "I'm not, although my brother is. Neptune's blood runs stronger through his veins." he replied in the same softly accented voice. His gaze, harsh and cold gave her a brief checkout. It was in his blood to be wary of others after all.

Vale shook himself and sea debris went flying everywhere, his wounds stung badly and he felt the blood trickling down his light colored fur again but not a single hint of the pain he was going through showed through. A Roman to the end.

The scratched up silvery brute had mentioned something of the god Neptune. She cocked her head at that, knowing only of her own set, and if that, believing in them at all. Who's Neptune? the otter-like female prodded curiously, leading them away from his spot on the beach and up into the reach of the trees. Settling in the grass, Tethys stood briefly. The wolf was no healer- but the scars on his pelt were still oozing small amounts of blood, and she didn't want her little tree grove to be stained by it.

How bad do those hurt? Tethys motioned with her nose to the scrapes peeking under his ruffled pelt. Perhaps some moss or some leaves could be plastered onto them and keep them from the biting ocean air, and keep the blood in.

I don't know what to write in tis anymore....

Who's neptune? the dark female asked. The white warrior looked at the female in slight dismay but remembered that she wasn't roman. "Neptune is the good of the sea, his power reigns in what is beside us." At that, he looked out at the sea, some tides coming further up to his legs. He basked in sea water and sunlight, feeling somewhat satisfied.

He wasn't sure how to answer to the sudden question of sympathy. He never had a chance to answer them. "Not that much, I've been in worse conditions." He muttered unsure of himself. The blood was already drying and he didn't give a damn about his physical appearance anyways.

me either? xP just want to reach 10 posts

The look of dismay was not lost on Tethys. She was tempted to put his scrawny ass in it's rightful place, but instead feigned a faintly interested look as he explained. There was only one true god that ruled the seas, and it wasn't his Neptune.
Does your Neptune guide the fish to feed his acolytes? Tethys tested with a wave of her tail. The sea gave them strength and the Drowned One did much for creating life, but he didn't lurk in their souls. The sea did. For all that matter, Tethys looked down all other deities. No doubt that's why this bulky, ashy male didn't fare well in the waves. The empathy in her was quickly wiped away and replaced by a haughty expression.

Yay, last post from you? (Vale does not have a scrawny ass btw, he's muscular)

Vale raised an eyebrow as her look of dismay. "It's not strange you've never heard of him before." He muttered. Does your Neptune guide the fish to feed his acolytes? The dark female asked. A slight look of confusion came to Vale's face before he realised that she had misunderstood him. "I do not follow Neptune, my..." He trailed off, thinking about Scipio. "...brother does."

"I follow Mercury, the god of travel, thieves and messengers." He answered quietly. When he saw her haughty expression, his eyes harden. "I don't know why I'm still here talking to you." As this he got up, his face impassive as usual even if his wounds hurt. He kept a blank face before giving the dark female a glare, ready to leave.

haha its just her being a butt xP thanks for the thread, I will archive it after a concluding post from you!

The male had spouted off more nonsense about his false gods, and another reference to his brother, 'Scipio'. The only thing Tethys was interested in was seeing if this male's kin truly lived up to her expectations of a water wolf, and if so, she wanted to see him in action. But instead, Tethys was with his non-water loving brother, who dubbed himself a mischievous sort of soul.

At least he wouldn't bleed on the grass. His wounds had sealed up and were only red welts now underneath his pelt, but Tethys didn't care. She had first thought of the male foolish but adorable for washing up on the coast, but now he was spouting ridiculous ideas about his gods. Forget her waking him up, she would be glad to see him god.

Get a move on, then,
Tethys growled, lifting her tail. And don't bleed on my carpet. She stepped backward but was tense, eyes boring into him. No doubt he could find his way out.

Okie :D I did not misunderstood your post, just wring it from a wolf's pov

Get a move on, then. And don't bleed on my carpet. The female growled. Vale could sense that she was tense (rhymes!) so he smirked at her."You're scared, aren't you?" At that he gave a hollow laugh and began to walk on, continuing his journey. I'm going soft... he thought, a true romans would have attack to defend their honour...

Maybe it was because he was thinking. He knew that this lone wolf may be one of the few he would meet. For now he would try to avoid them. Once he was sure she couldn't see him anymore, he once again went into the sea water, laying on his side on the shallow side. What was he doing? Romans do not lie down and let their wounds heal, he keep going! But he didn't know what he was anymore. What was he?
