Tuulu was not well-equipped for the heat of the summer here, even if it wasn't as bad as somewhere in the valley between the ranges might be. Tucking into a dark cave during the night was the only real relief. Yet, he could hardly muster up any real irritation, mostly because he had Lane hidden away with him, where he had her all to himself.

He was lost to a very deep sleep, something that was only possible because he and Lane were together and safe. He felt like he could actually sleep, though he was usually pretty easy to wake. So when she nudged him and murmured his name, the Tatkret's eyes opened slowly, hazy from sleep.

The scent that hit his nose then erased any sleepiness from his body. He was suddenly very aware of Lane's body against his. Tuulu reached over and nipped at her jaw. He was hit with a sudden wave of possession as her scent surrounded them. He looked over her with a heated gaze and then nuzzled into her neck to pull her scent into his bloodstream. Mine. he thought. Lane was his, and he was thankful they were hidden here where no one could come upon them.

Lane, he whispered, though he could think of nothing else to say. His mind was complete mush with her next to him, all warm and soft, smelling like she did.
