Redsand Canyon young man, fill yourself with dread

siku had found the sun much too bright and hot for his liking today. still he yearned to be outside, away from the increasingly cramp den that he shared with his parents and @Nanuq.

so he had found a bush to hide under, big enough to hold the growing gangly boy. his limbs like tree branches while his body seemed to thin out. he was growing into a weird young man, undeniably.

however this hardly bothered him as he lazily reached a paw outside of the bush he had claimed. the only part currently visible of him.

like some kind of trap.

Unlike his brother, Nanuq chose to sprawl out in the sunlight, taking full advantage of his fair pelt. His back felt a little warm for comfort, but it wasn't enough of a complaint to drive him into the shade. He soaked up the rays like a happy house cat minus the fat, roused only when an out-of-place set of toes emerged from the nearby bush.

His ears lifted lazily, followed by an equally slow craning of his neck toward the bush. With two sleepy blinks, the gangling pup pushed himself upright and bowed into a long stretch, complete with squeaky yawn. Giving his tail a slow, leisurely wave, he leaned forward to sniff the suspicious paw-like growth.

Recognizing Siku's brotherscent, Nanuq mouthed at the dark pads of his toes.

he had been prepared to doze off.

until something mouthed at his paw. siku blinked the sleep from his eyes, only mildly aware of what was suddenly going on. not entirely sure if he cared for it or not as he peered his head out from the bush.

there was none other than nanuq, mouthing his paw pads as if it were a treat.

whu! he blurted before busting into a fit of giggles.

Even though Nanuq knew these toes belonged to his brother, he was startled when they wriggled and again by Siku's voice and giggling. He let go of the toefruit and arched his spine playfully. It was a pealing sound, somewhere between a chuckle and a growl, that Nanuq returned to his sibling.

He gathered as much saliva as he could on his tongue before slapping it wetly against his twin's toes, letting it ooze between them and into his white fur.

the sensation was...something.

siku had not frolicked through water or slapped at puddles in his short life. even if he had, there was an uncomfortable difference between saliva and water.

nanooooo. somewhere between his brother's name and a beg to stop.

except in his endeavour to break free, he awkwardly twisted himself with a soft yelp.

The game was fun until Siku yelped, filling Nanuq with dread and worry.

Nanuq was lazy. Anyone that had ever met him knew this. The exception was when his brother needed him, and then he had enough energy for ten boys his size. The thin child crashed into the bush without warning, giving a concerned croon of, seeee? as he snuffled around for his brother's face, ignoring the way the twigs poked against his skin.
