Limit Two

Sovereign felt a growing desire to hone her battle skills, ever since her first session with Arashi, and the spar with Venere more recently.
The Princess marched through the Strath, looking for the General with attentive eyes and ears.
"Dad!" She called loudly, following his scent trail at a quick trot.

"DAD!!!" She called again, louder.

It wasn't overly difficult to hear the child, even from a distance. My, what a set of lungs she had.
Upon catching the call through the air, Arashi's initial assumption was that danger had risen.
With dust flying faster than he'd ever thought possible, the general wove through the trees of the strath. Mere minutes passed before the giant reached the pitter patter of his daughter's paws. He almost had to skid to keep from barreling into her.
Immediately, his eyes flew upon her, searching frantically for sign of injury. Then they set to search the surroundings. Was she being chased? Followed?
There was nothing. Simply nothing.
What is the matter with you? Arashi seethed, reaching forward to nip at the child's ear. His teeth came close, but were yanked away before they could do more than graze the cartilage.
You should know better than to shout like that unless you are trouble!
Despite how much he would have liked to deny it, this whole fathering thing was becoming far too natural. Call it what you will, but scorning a child was nothing of great difficulty.

Sovereign's gaze brightened as her father came into view, but when his ire came, swift as it was, she slanted her ears against his anger and the slight graze of teeth.

Quickly though did she bounce back, straightening and holding an ambitious, determined look upon her pale face.
"I wanna spar! So I can be like you and mom!" She held seriousness in her tones, longing, even, to be as fierce as her parents were.

The fire in her eyes was similar to the blaze seen in her own mother's.

A gruff expression found the child.

You will turn to be nothing like either of us with such an undisciplined mannerism. Work on that. Arashi was sharp and snippy today. His own attitude hadn't been the best as of recent.

You really want to spar, eh? The answer was known, the question itself rhetorical — almost a challenge, in fact. He would not hold back today. Prepare yourself. Take the first move.

Sov's ears flattened at the displeased tone of her father.
But upon him giving her the first move, she would nod and lower her head, level with her shoulders.

She would then rush Arashi and go straight for his chest, whipping upward to try and grab his throat with her jaws.

The child charged forward. Arashi took what moments he had to contemplate what options of attack she had. But when he saw the way her form prepared to lurch upward, he scoffed.

Just as she made it to him, he turned his body sharply to the left and reached around to take hold of her nape. If his teeth met, the man would simply hold her there. But if he were to miss, then he would land a simple scrape as her charge pursued. Though, he was no longer standing where she had aimed, so the pursuit was unsuccessful.

Sovereign's attempt was unsuccessful.
As she went to reach for Arashi's throat, the General was swift to pull himself away and latch to her nape with strong jaws.

The girl yipped softly with surprise, hanging halfway from the ground by her father's jaws.

Huffing, she attempted to twist in his grip to snip at the meat of his cheek as best she was able, but the move wasn't exactly precise.

The girl was frustrated, as was evident. The fatherly part of Arashi wished to chuckle, but the general side forced a scowl across his features.

Sovereign reached her teeth for his cheek. He could feel a sharp pang, but paid little mind to the meek sting.

Eventually, he grew bored of her efforts and abruptly released his hold, allowing the girl to fumble to the ground. You are too eager and target the most obvious places. When learning, you must practice paying attention to your opponent and look for weaknesses or ways to outsmart them. They must not know what you will do next. The way you charged forward-.. I was easily able to deduce where you would aim to strike. Unless you are fighting an outright fool, you will not be triumphant with such a strategy as you have just displayed.

Sovereign eventually felt Arashi let go, and she stumbled as her paws hit the ground.
As her father began to speak, Sovereign's features darkened with determination and frustration.

Eventually, once he finished speaking, she growled with a gruff ambition "Let me try again."
Her gaze was a small glower, yet focused on him with glitters of awe and respect as any daddy's girl would.
