All Welcome
The sun intended to set slowly on this day.

Moon strolls were what Nasamik fancied best, but she did not mind this hour.

A soft wind nipped against her furs, but it did not chill her. Soft rolls of fluttering snow toiled at her feet. There was silence, save for the occasional distant call of the night birds. Calming, pleasant.

The snowshoe rabbit traipsed on, enjoying the moments. Were they to end, she would not be opposed — but she savored it now, while she still could.

Nasamik was not the only one observing the snowshoe rabbit. Watchful golden gaze followed the little white creature's every movement, while the instincts inherited from generations of successful hunters tried to prepare the body they inhabited for action. Kausiut's mind yearned for the thrill of the chase and the tasty prize it would bring and at the same time it fought the realization of the fact that the proposed venture was doomed to failure even if she attempted to do anything.

Eventually she turned her eye away in frustration. Both for the fact that the weak, but agile creature was out of her reach. Hers - the parody of an apex predator here. And also because again she would have to depend on someone else to provide. Her birth home was not kind to her - she thought angrily, as she hobbled away, paying little attention to her surroundings. And thus almost tripping over the other wolf, who blended with the scenery just as good as the rabbit had. In the last moment she stopped and regarded the other with mild curiousity.
