Boldly, Saleem ventured into the world away from the den. He was loathe to leave @Sylianos's side, but @Arsenio's pull was too strong, and a sense of adventure pulsed through the young boy's veins.

His hearing now at its full capacity, Saleem was like a hawk on every sound. A chirping bird. The soft rustle of tree leaves. The snapping of a twig beneath his father's paw. Each sound was a new adventure, and each one delighted the blue-eyed boy.

When his father rounded a corner—Saleem just a step behind—the son was surprised to find another small wolf. Larger than himself, but still much smaller than the adults he had met during his short life. So when his father paused, then nudged little Saleem forward, the boy approached with a wagging tail and flattened ears.
