Days had passed after John had been sent to the lions den, and everyday he prayed, for forgiveness, for the good and bad times, and for the island family. Because of his absence, he had no knowing of what all happened on the island — He knew of only what had been, what he had done. He thought of Heda’s children, how they must be. But for now, he left the lions den to eat and drink and relieve himself. Heda hadn’t come to him, nor Caracal, nor anyone else.

However, every now and then he finds an urge arise, to leave the mouth of the lion. Yes, perhaps he should brave the waves of turmoil, for he had already been forgiven by God. What was left now was to seek the forgiveness of the island family…. He would just have to find them first.

By the witness of the martyrs
By the passion and the blood
God has raised you out of darkness
I have bought your soul for God
