It was a big territory. Persia felt no need to explore it all in a day, and indeed, thought that Widow could do with a little bit of time to forget any irritation she felt toward him. He was quiet therefore as he moved through unfamiliar territory, pawsteps carefully placed but tail wheeling in idle enjoyment as he explored. He had not yet come across any scent but Widow's, but he felt sure he'd scented other wolves on her pelt. He wanted to meet them, even if they turned out just as weird as her.
He lingered to take in the scent of an old badger den, and then lifted his leg on it almost on autopilot before he scored the earth with his hind claws. He'd thought at first that he ought to cover his scent when he could, but she had told him to stay as long as he wanted, hadn't she? Or something like that, anyway. The order to leave could have just been a get out of my sight or hey, look at those green things attached to that tree! for all he knew.
So he wasn't doing anything wrong. And whatever he was doing, he was doing it very quietly, definitely not hoping to catch anyone on unawares.
