When she informed him she forgave him, he swallowed, then slowly nodded. Perhaps it was presumptuous of her to make such a statement but he knew what pain he had caused her. He knew he was the reason behind her healed injuries, as a matter of fact. That she was forgiving him was sort of a miracle, honestly, and he would accept it humbly.

"Junior, I'm so glad you came to see me. There are a thousand things I want to say to you. I know 'I'm sorry' hardly covers it but please know that I am. I was a blind, ignorant fool about a lot of things. I turned my back on you. I'm so sorry for the pain I caused." His eyes lingered on her scars, then flitted up to her face. "I would do anything to make it up to you. I can't undo the damage, I know, but I'll do whatever it takes to pay my dues and redeem myself however much that I can. Junior..." he finished, voice getting a bit thick and shaky as he felt a million emotions. "I love you, baby girl, and I'm so happy you're here."

She had almost died, he knew, and then she had vanished. He had lost her several times in the past year, in various different ways. But she was standing before him now.
