AW but preferably @Scimitar and @Bazi

It was with Kaskara in mind that Kieran took to his paws and caught some rabbits. The only thing he could offer her brother for the time being. He would have preferred to capture a deer, but well they were a little bit too large for just one wolf, no matter their behemoth size. He carried them nearby the den that the alpha's stayed, but stopped short of completely going near it. Instead he lifted his muzzle to the sky and requested one or both of them, if they had the time.

he had promised Kaskara he would talk to her brother, so he would do just that. Whatever she wanted, from here on out, she got even if it killed him. It was that simple for the honest irishman. He would do his best by her, and he wouldn't fail this time. Not only did he not want too, but lord knew he'd probably never recover if he did.

A summoning howl echoed across the sky -- but it was simply right outside his doorstep. Blinking sleepily, the regal stretched, unfurling himself from the tangle of limbs that were compromised of four sleeping puppies. puppies, he mused, that grew like weeds.

Finally upon his paws, the large wolf lowered his head as he swung out from the den, the scent of rabbit welcome to the wolf as his eyes blinked tiredly, adjusting to the sunlight. Kieran was here, and a welcoming smile pressed past the beasts' usual stoical mask, his muzzle giving a light nod to the male. "Kieran," he greeted, though his tone held question to it -- he had been the one to call for his Alphas.. so this was likely not just a visit to the pups. Giving his thick pelt a quick shake, the Alpha withheld a yawn, believing it would appear rude to his visitor.

Kieran saw Scimitar come out of the den and towards him. He pushed the rabbits forward, hoping to fill the other's belly before they spoke. It wasn't a good thing to talk serious things with an empty belly. Kieran knew this first hand, he took a small breath and then settled to his haunches curling his tail around his large paws.

Kieran looked at him and broke the ice, getting straight to the point, well almost at any rate. Owaya Scimitar. Ah've cum ter ask somethin' av yer. Somethin' important ter me, an' dear ter me 'eart.

His eyes flickered down to the offering, pausing for a moment as he considered it. His stomach jolted at the sight, and gratefully, the Alpha moved forward, his nose bumping to the Gammas cheek in a silent 'thank you.' Leaning down he pulled the rabbit back with him, settling upon his haunches, one paw dangling lazily upon his gift. He would have ripped in to it by now, but Kieren's words drew his attention -- he asked a favor, and it felt rude to simply munch away on a meal instead of focusing fully upon his friend.

"And what can I do for you?" The brown wolf had come close to the time he had arrived at Swiftcurrent Creek, and he had pro0ven to be nothing but loyal and devoted to his pack. Needless to say, Scimitar would be lost without the wolf.

Kieran stood still, even at the nose bump, though he did nudge the leader back in the shoulder. Then he went back to being motionless. He wasn't sure how to even approach this subject, or what was expected of him, par Kaskara's traditions. Kieran shifted his weight and then turned his gaze back towards Scimitar.

Kieran chuckled quietly, nervously and spoke softly, 'tis aboyt yisser buff an' blister Kaskara. Ah've fallen fast an' 'ard for 'er an' oi talked ter 'er aboyt it. Turns oyt she feels de seem, but she asked me ter spake ter yer aboyt it, before we make anythin' offishal. Oi 'av cum for yisser blessin'. Kieran shifted again and laid his ears to his head waiting for an answer and hoping it was a good one.

Kieran was always hard to understand at the best of times – and usually, Scimitar’s translations of what he brown bear spoke was more amusing on his end than anything else, and this time proved to be no different. Kieran referred to Kaskara as his ‘blister,’ to which Scimitar gave a grim nod – yes, she could be as such at times.

What was surprising was the next words, and Scimitar froze, his turquoise eyes drifting over to the wolf he had contently called ‘brother’ for some time now.. though he had never meant it in the literal sense. “So.. you want to court Kaskara..?” Uncertain how he felt about this, Scimitar instead backtracked, wondering if he even got the news correct in the first place.

Kieran’s accent was thick, after all.

Kieran hadn't even thought of the language barrier, until he started speaking. He winced as he realized that there was a very real chance that he would mess this up, with his thick accent alone. Kieran could certainly agree with the sentiment that sisters could be buff and blisters. He had a few sisters, not he was closer to than Kiara. Now he simply waited, quietly. Hoping with all he was worth, that Scimitar could at least understand enough to realize what he wanted.

Kieran breathed a small sigh of relief when Scimitar got the just of the conversation. Though now he was a little wary of how the male felt. Kieran was a male, and he knew from experience that no one was ever good enough for your sister. He hoped he was at least fair enough for her in Scimitar's eyes. Aye oi want ter court Kaskara, wi' yisser blessin' t'be sure. Kieran wasn't sure what he would do exactly if Scimitar told him no, but he did know he'd have to leave. Because he couldn't be around her, if he couldn't have her. And she would eventually move on, because he did know she loved her brother, and she had made it clear at least it was what he thought. That without Scimitar's blessing there would be no relationship.

It was terribly old-fashioned, though certainly appreciated. He stood in grim silence for a moment, digesting the information brought to him. He did not disprove of Kieran – the man had proven to be quite loyal. It was perhaps the simple fact that he found it hard to picture his sister in a relationship – and yet, why shouldn’t he? Just because his own was completely frazzled, and perhaps only superglued together with the simple fact that they shared kids.. if the man made his sister happy, who was he to contest?

“If she agrees to it, you have my blessing,” he finally offered, his eyes stern as he regarded the brown wolf before him. He was curious to know if Bazi had an inkling of the entire situation.. had there been signs? Was he the last to know? "You're a respected man in this pack, Kieran, and very well loved. Of course you have my blessing."

Keiran felt like his breathing had stopped, he had to remind himself to breathe. So unsure of how this situation was going to go, he hadn't realized how badly he was afraid Scimitar would say no until just this second. He tilted his head and waited in silent agony for the answer he most wanted. When it did come, he simply stared for a minute trying to digest that it really had happened, and it was really okay that he and Kaskara move forward with a relationship. He had to smile then, and he chuckled quietly.

Kieran moved his paws restlessly and nervously and looked down his ears tilted back against his head for a moment. He looked back up and smiled softly. Aw none av dat. Respected may, loved oi don't nu many dat can love dis ganky mug, but tanks for de sentiment al' de seem Scimitar.  An' yer 'av me word, oi 'ill chucker me pure best by yisser buff an' blister, an' whatever she wants she gets. Then Kieran stood still and waited if the man wanted to talk about other things.

Boyt ye dees days Scimitar? Oi 'enny 'ad de chance ter ask yer.

There were many things he did not understand when Kieran spoke, even to this day after having been comrades for so long. The man determined that not many could love his ugly mug, and the dark agouti man refrained from pointing out that his sister clearly did – and his sister’s affections were nothing to be shirked. Instead, he found himself more amused by what he referred Kaskara to. “You do realize, you keep calling my sister a blister – a pocket of fluid upon one’s skin?” He studied the brown wolf’s reaction to this – he held no doubt that if he referred to Bazi as a blister, she would scruff him right then and there.

He did faintly understand the question of his well-being – a check in, of sorts. It was a shame he had become so distant from his pack mates, so wrapped up in trying to recruit and raise the pups that he could not even recall the last conversation he had truly had with Kieran. “I worry that our numbers are so low. The pups are growing like weeds, and yet our numbers are dwindling. But how are you settling in here?”

Perhaps.. they never should have left the Creek at all.

Kieran had purposely said not many, for the sole reason that Kaskara clearly loved him. It was strange sometimes for him to think about it, because he really truly thought sometimes to love him was a curse.  Kieran chuckled an nodded his head, but wrinkled his brow trying to figure out how he could say what he wanted. Aye oi nu, but oi don't nu 'oy ter say deirfiúr in yisser language. Or more to the point he couldn't say it, it didn't roll off the tongue very well for him.

Kieran didn't fault the man for not being able to remember their last conversation. It was the way of things really, especially since Kieran was a quiet male anyway, stuck to himself. And Scimitar had a family to raise. He held no ill will towards him at all for it. So 'tiz a shame dat dare are so wee. But dohs few are loyal. An' scon are settlin' in jist gran', but oi can settle most anywhere oi'm a juicy easy wolf ter git along wi'

Kieran spoke something about a dierfiur – which Scimitar did not understand.. and he was even more perplexed that the man discussed Scimitar’s language, when he had just blatantly referred to Kaskara as his ‘sister.’ As he was known to do in these moments, the cinnamon wolf allowed that aspect of the conversation to fade – their language was a barrier at times, but it was not worth continuing onward. They understood each other enough.

Again, the brown wolf mentioned something about him being juicy, and the regal could not help but allow a small smile to filter past his lips. “I’m glad,” was what he offered in return, his tail giving a swing. “Have you spoke to Bazi yet, about Kaskara?”

Kieran wasn't trying to cause any unrest. He didn't know how to say sister in the language. He could think it, but it didn't come out like he wanted it too. He would call her Kaskara now though, since the male knew who he was talking about and seemed okay with it. Kieran wasn't even sure about the beginning of this conversation, so he shrugged and moved on to the next.

Kieran returned the small smile, knowing full well that his language was an issue sometimes, but Kaskara could understand him and that was all that mattered to him really. No offense towards the alpha before him. He liked him well enough, cared for him he supposed, but the most important wolf to him, the only one whose opinion mattered to the dark wolf was Kaskara. He shook his head at the next question. Naw Oi 'enny Kaskara wanted me ter spake ter yer firs.

The Alpha gave a nod of agreement to his words – likely, the girls would gossip about newly formed love together, and it felt like a jab of discomfort swelled in his chest. They had likely gossiped about his and Bazi’s blooming relationship months ago too – but now that the flame was gone, and the two were drifting apart.. would they talk about that?

“But I imagine you’re anxious to seek out Kaskara with the news,” he determined then, pulling his muzzle up and shaking his feeling of disarray away for the moment. “Thank you for coming to me, Kieran,” he offered, moving forward to nudge the brown wolf upon the cheek with his nose. Pulling away, Scimitar made his way back in to the den, to check on the four sleeping puppies within.

Kieran frowned as the cinnamon creature walked away. There was something weighing on the male, but what it was Kieran had no clue. He would speak to Kaskara, perhaps she could talk to her brother, determine what was wrong. Kieran did not feel it was his place, at least not yet to ask such personal questions. Maybe once he was officially family, then he would ask, but right now he shook his head. It was time to find Kaskara.
