Grey was born in a litter of four, with three sisters. As the only male, and the largest puppy, he felt like a disappointment when his sisters beat him around. He was slower to grow after a while, and had been taking longer to fill out. After reaching a year old, his sisters began to really take things out on him. They would hardly share meals with him, and he had to hunt on his own. The rest of his pack was little help, and he felt like a lone wolf. After a month of this, he decided to leave the pack, since he was basically on his own anyway. At least this way, he won't be picked on. He likes to think of himself as his own pack leader now, even though he has no pack. It's yet to be seen how long he can go on "playing pack" on his own.
