Aktaiê Nereides II was born in the legendary homeland of the Nereides, Themiscrya Coast, several years after her great-grandmother (and namesake) returned to Sirensong Cove to gather her remaining daughters and protect them from the spreading corruption. As her great-grandmother journeyed, it was revealed that a vision had come to her while exploring the sea caves of Echo Cove, implying that the territory she had been born in and once ruled over was not the origin of the Nereides heritage as previously thought.<br><br>
Upon discovering the coast, Aktaie Nereides I told the Protomedeia ("first queen") of the corruption spreading throughout the Nereides that had dispersed. She and her daughter, Ekho, settled into life on the coast and found comfort in the traditions that she had originally practiced. Meanwhile, it became an utmost priority to send High Priestesses, Adepts, and the obedient Hoplites to stamp out the faraway branches that had distorted the true beliefs of the Nereides.<br><br>
Minthe, daughter of Ekho, gave birth to a litter of three daughters and one spawn — naming one female pup after her grandmother, Aktaie. She grew up training amongst the most devout Nereides, richly entrenched in their traditions and heritage. Shortly after her third birthday, Aktaiê's great-grandmother passed away. Filled with a mixture of grief and purpose, Aktaiê volunteered to lead a branch of the Nereides in her honor.<br><br>
In late July, Aktaiê left Themiscrya with her blood-sister, <a href="http://wolf-rpg.com/member.php?action=profile&uid=956">Psamathe</a>, and their hoplite, <a href="http://wolf-rpg.com/member.php?action=profile&uid=959">Greyjoy</a>, promised as acolytes to her cause. Upon reaching the Teekon Wilds, the party more than doubled in size — Akantha, Atlas, Leukothea, and Acorn have traveled to join the mission from Themiscrya Coast, and the group has added Cethleann and Junior as local recruits.
