the lodges were stuffy. not helped by his mother's condition. so stuffy nosed akiak plays in the beach today.
giggling, he runs along the shoreline, sometimes tempting even further and sticking his head inside the water to watch the fishies. how he wanted to snatch one up and bring his catch to aaka. he would teeter close to the edge, stubby paws wading through the water. he anchors himself against the gentle tide, as even that was enough to rock the boy in the middle of his daydreaming what itd be like to sink new teeth into soft fish.
aaka croaks for him, though. akiak saves the daydreaming for another day, perhaps when he's bigger and stronger.

ghelan is the name given by his father in lanzadoii. akiak for sharadoii & seal hunters. brave one (translation of akiak) is for common.
