Personality
[Recent events have put John into a grieving state. He is now quiet and closed off to strangers. A once cheerful man carries sadness upon his shoulders.]

Normally:
John is a kind soul, who wants nothing more than peace in the world. As taught by his family, he strives to share the love and teachings of his God to those he meets, hoping to make lasting friends and family in faith.

He is never pushy, and wouldn’t push his religion on anyone who did not want it. If a wolf is uncomfortable with it, they must just say so. He is very modest, respectful, gentle, kind, caring, a teacher like figure, soft spoken, and talkative (when provoked by a similar interest). And despite being criticized for his religion, he still cherishes his belief and will continue to spread his God’s words and teachings.

Likes: Sharing stories, children, the gospel, his pack, of which he is loyal to, the beach, early mornings and evenings.

(Also enjoys fishing, but never did it often, only on occasion. He had to relearn when he was released into the wild teekons.)
Biography
John was born in the Canadian national park, Jasper. The wolf populations needed to be lowered, so conservationists took him, and other male wolves and located them to various other parks. He, fortunately was dropped off in a strange wild land in Montana. The Teekons.

After he wound up on the Sequoia coast upon first arriving in the wilds, he found his way to an island sanctuary, Wheeling Gull Isle, claimed by Sweetharbor. The alphas were Caracal and Heda, who welcomed John in after he’d saved two of their children from the oceans grasp. He lived a peaceful few months on that island until tragedy hit. He was attacked by Anathema, an adopted child of Heda and Caracal’s, shortly after, he was sent to be in solitude within the Lion’s den, a cave upon the island. During his solitude, the alphas of Sweet Harbor fought, Heda taking off with part of the children, leaving Caracal upon the island with whichever children had decided to stay. Of course, he didn’t have any idea of this, until he learned of a funeral upon the island, the funeral of none other than Caracal himself. After the funeral, Heda had decided to fully leave behind the shattered pieces of a life once lived. John, still devoted to Heda, his Alpha, followed her and her children back to the mainland.

On the mainland, the group traveled from the coast all the way to Rising Sun Valley, with a of couple stops in between. They finally landed in the land of Heda’s childhood, Noctisardor Bypass formerly Rivenwood, where he, Heda, Dinah and Ava Amara stayed for some time. Here, he helped Heda hunt, mark borders, tend to each other, etc.

After Heda disappeared for a short time, she made a return with news about having found Ava injured and up in the sunspire mountains. Things have yet to unfold at this point….

After a time, John grew restless, and as if it was meant to be, Druid came to him. She asked it of him that he may go out and search for Heda’s sons; this too he felt it right to do, and so he agreed. He voiced his plan to Heda, and under the wish to come home, he set out from Rivenwood and back out into the wilds, on a course to the coast. Along the way, he’d met a stranger, a young man, Boris, and a familiar face, Esma. The trio traveled together to the coast, together like a little band, a triad.

When they reached the coast, John reveled in the familiar feelings that the sea scape brought. They set up a camp once more, before John headed for the island. He crossed the familiar sand bridge, and reaching the shore, visited the grave of Caracal, then an unexpected encounter with Judah, who was once thought dead.

He spent a short amount of time on the island, and it is here that he found Simeon and Malakai Redhawk, the two other sons of Heda. While on the island, John had the honor of baptizing Simeon, a son with a heart of gold. He also took in, albeit briefly, a young woman, giving her food and shelter, but short after, he set out again. He left the island with Judah in tow….

After a journey across the mountains, they made it back to the Rising Sun Valley. They never made it back to the bypass, as they happened to find Heda by chance, her location revealed by a cry on the wind.

Relieved to be with Heda once again, and after Judah parted ways, the foursome (John and Heda with her littlest sons in tow) made a third journey back to the Great Bear Wilderness. They finally settled down here, for there was a great hunt at the time, and food was plentiful. Unfortunately, this peace did not last; Heda had revealed the story of what happened after John had set off on his quest, and that she was sick. The pair spent one last moment together, laying in the sunshine, dreaming of what thing could’ve been, had it all been different.

The next morning, he woke up to find Heda gone. After following her trail all the way to the coast, where her trail had ended. She had gone to Wheeling Gull Island, and he knew very well why. That was where Heda would choose her resting place. He did not follow her further; Perhaps this was the best way to remember her, to remember that tender moment they shared, in all her beauty despite all else. He would not know truly what happened to her, as she took her final breath in the place she once called home.

Not long after this, a miracle was given to John, in the form of his long lost sister, Adah. They reunited in the place of his mourning. For the time being, it would be the two of them, trying to navigate where life would take them next.

Being a Pastor like character, he will openly speak of his religion, Christianity. If anyone is uncomfortable with such religious topics, let me know and I can keep character dialogue neutral. :)

I reply when I can, and have the time.

I love plotting with characters.

If I don’t reply to a thread, feel free to nudge me. ;)

Hello! I’m Maddy, a wolf role-player and artist. I have been Role playing for about 4 years, mainly wolf based, but I have also done mammals and fantasy too. My favorite thing about the RP scene is building characters and relationships, and illustrating scenes between characters.

I am usually very prompt about responding, but because of real-life appointments each week, starting college, and other life happenings, I will have times where responses will be delayed. If I can, I will let people know in advance when I will be absent.

I hope to make friends here, and have fun.
