It had been a while since the dark queen had been in the wilds but she was determined to find her mate and his scent had led her to the forest but it also smelled occupied by a pack so this was as far as she went as she let out a small howl hoping maybe he would hear her call. @Santiago Arcos

The reaper isn’t in his element here. Not like he was in his beloved Nightwalkers. Too many kind souls here, it almost disgusts him. He wants blood and glory; death and dishonor — he wants to get his teeth wet with blood. Yet, here he is, face all kinds of fucked up cause he picked the wrong fight with the wrong bitch (looking at you Nyra). He never learns his lesson and if he sees her again, he wouldn’t hesitate to initiate another brawl with the broad, pale woman.
So he sits alone, far away from those who might bother him. He doesn’t want to speak to a single soul, probably except the dark woman that fixed his wounds. And when he does talk to her, he’s not going to be nice. Even the thought makes his lip twitch up in anger, but he lets the anger sink in and fuel his desire to find his mates.
Speaking of. A howl meets his ears and the ruined tips swivel on dark crown. He doesn’t instantly recognize the voice behind the sound, but there’s such a vague familiarity to it that it makes his steely eyes squint in suspicion. He doesn’t waste his time in standing and beginning an unhurried trot to the sound. As far as he knows, he wouldn’t know what they were and therefore they’re not worth his time.
Oh, but how wrong was he.
When he gets closer his eyes land on this wolf. A scent floods his nose — a female. The shape of her, the color of her fur. He’s close enough to see mahogany eyes, so familiar. Then he trots closer and closer. His heart might as well have dropped into his ass when he finally recognizes her — his love. His love. His love.
It doesn’t matter how much it hurts him, his brows raise and his mouth opens in surprise.
“Serem?” He asks lowly, voice rough from disuse. “Serem?!” He says with a bit more heat behind it.
He’s not mad though. If anyone had a brain and looked into his eyes all one would find is pure unadulterated heartbreak (in a good way). The way his usually cold, ice like eyes come to life is otherworldly. Then he’s running and running, not minding his wounds one bit until he’s trampling over her, possibly taking her to the ground with him by he force. He buries his ruined face in her fur, some of his wounds reopen and smear fresh blood along her dark fur, but he doesn’t give one fuck. He can’t even produce words. He does smothers her. She’s have to kill him in order to take him off it seems.

A familiar scent hit the woman’s nose and before she knew it her eyes locked onto the man she had given her heart to and her tail began to wag slowly as he came closer to her and she was certain she wasn’t seeing things.
He was running towards her and rather than do the same she stayed in place and felt the affection given and returned it until the smell of blood hit her nose and she stopped. “Are you alright?” She asked concerned.

Santiago has missed her. Has definitely had to admit that. He doesn’t care about the blooming blood or the pain laced into his fixtures likes it’s a permanent ornament. Only when she asks if he’s alright does he pull pack. Surely the state he’s in would be a shock to her. His bloody, scabbed up face and ruined eye. He looks like shit. Yet her concern touches his heart, whereas everyone else’s just pissed him off.
Once he’s pulled back enough to look into her own eyes he nods easily, but a shrug also comes with the motion. “Not really, cariña.” He hums with a hint of that dark humor he’s always held. “Got in a fight not too long ago. I lost. I’m getting old.” He says deeply, words slurred by his accent as he looks upon her with love in his gaze.

The dark woman nudges him softly as she begins licking his wounds. “Who do I have to kill?” She questioned. No one would get away hurting the ones she loved. Not while she was around at least.

He winces but chuckles when she licks his face and says those sweet but dangerous words. He knows she’s not playing. He could only imagine finding that wolf and teaming up on her with Serem. It would be oh so beautiful.
“She was the alphess of the Saints of whatever the fuck she said.” He hums. “I can’t recall her name right now.” He grunts and moves to lap at Serem’s own face too.
Then he goes quiet for a second. “I missed you, cariña.” He says softly then. “I still cannot find Clarence. I’ve been searching for both of you.”

She listened carefully as he describes the wench who gave him his wounds and mad a mental note of why the man said. She knew she’d have to go and find this woman one day but for now she focused on her mate.
Her ears perked up at the sound of the other whom had her mates heart and her eyes softened. “He can hold his own, I trust in what we’ve taught him. If he too made it back into the woods we’ll find him.”

Santiago nods when he listens to her. He hopes she’s right. He knows Clarence was savage when he put his mind to it and even worse when he was cornered. He doesn’t doubt he has made a living here somewhere in the Teekons. He hopes he has. He hopes he’s just living it up in some pack somewhere in the safety of a new home. Little did he know, it was completely the opposite.
“Perhaps you’re right.” He agrees, but worry stills clings to him so he changes the subject.
“I need to heal before we look. I have a debt to pay. The alphess of the pack I’m staying with saved my life. Do you wish to stay a while with me?” He asks hopefully.

He spoke of healing first and she nodded her head in agreement and she planned on helping him do so for as long as he needed. “Of course I will stay mi amor. I just found you.” She chuckled softly. “And look what happens when I leave you unattended.” She teases softly.

He loves the sound of her voice more than anything. It’s final. He’s definitely turning soft in his old age. What with getting his ass beat and then sobbing like a pup when he finds one of two mates, he knows he’s getting soft.
Still it doesn’t stop him with sighing softly when Serem speaks back to him. She even teases him. She’s not wrong. He’s been getting himself into trouble ever since they parted ways. He would do no such thing again.
Santi can’t help but chuckle back at her tease. “Mhm, guess that means you can’t leave.” He says back, nuzzling her neck softly. He even attempts one of his sly smiles he used to always give her. Only for a hiss of breath to show the pain from it. Only then does he pull back with a tug on her scruff. “Volvamos.” He hums softly back to her. All he wants to do is lay beside her.

She was so happy to have found her love and she was determined not to loose sights on him again. She felt the tug of his teeth on her neck and she gave him a loving nudge. “Seems not.” She responded to the first part with a small smile and she would follow him everywhere.
