huojin rested outside of pride rock with the same stature he'd often watched @Ruò assume. his legs were crossed in front of him, his eyes staring upward toward the stars, and his tail beating that same jovial beat against the cold stone floor. @Aiolos would soon return with a small meal for both mother and child, but until then, the lionet would bide his time admiring the evening sky.

As she grew, Haoming had spent more and more time adventuring outside the den. Some of the bigger wolves she didn't like, but overall things were okay here. It would be better if it was just her and her little family though.
Short legs carried the dappled girl up the rocks, brows drawing together when she spotted a brand new face. Reddish, like Luli, but brighter, and smaller than them. Puppy blue eyes narrowed in confusion as she approached the creature, letting out a woof of greeting.
"N-ni..." she began, concentrating on what she wanted to say. "...shí sh-shèi?"

huojin didn't think anything of the unfamiliar scent. haoming hadn't come to pride rock before, but she smelled of her mother, and faint traces of her mother's scent could be found everywhere.
the girl made sounds similar to those of either parent. huojin was still largely unable to understand what these words meant, or that were words at all, but he decided that they were.. tolerable.
he opened his mouth to reply with some baby babble. would haoming understand? regardless, huojin shifted right to give her a seat, too.

cameo unless acknowledged!
Huā would not bear to let them far from her sight- especially the little Haoming, who was already quite adventurous. Perhaps from her mother she inherited wandering legs. The siren watched the two from a distance, slowly padding closer but keeping a few yards off and settling into a seat. She would remain as a quiet supervision, never interfering unless it seemed something would go wrong, eager to observe her distant nephew's developing personality as well.

Haoming didn't understand the words that spilled from the younger wolf's maw, but she kind of got the inclination. An invitation to sit with him. Now, normally Haoming did not like strangers - they were big and she needed to fight them, even if her mother did not understand that - but this was a smaller one (even if it wasn't by all that much.) She couldn't fight him.
They did not speak the same language, either, it seemed. That was fine. A soft huff escaped her nose as she settled down into a seated position by the younger wolf, head tilted as she stared down at him. Maybe she didn't even have to talk at all. That was good - words were hard, and she never made them sound quite right.
Raising a brow, Haoming leaned forward to place a paw against the other boy's cheek, giving it an experimental nudge.

huojin would have been content to sit in silence, but it seemed haoming had different plans. alright.
she gently touched his cheek with outstretched paw, rather than with her nose as his parents often did. huojin was confused by this; he looked up at her with curious blue eyes, wondering what she might do next.
a moment passed before he gave his own peace offering: a small stone, one which he had dug from the sediment only days prior. did she want it?

The boy pushed a stone to her, and Haoming was surprised. A thing? For her? The girl dipped her head down to push it around with her nose and delighting momentarily at the scratching noise it made against the other rock beneath them. This was hers now, and she was going to try her best to keep it safe.
Oh, and the boy, too.
"Kuh... K-Kuàng," she announced with a small smile on her maw, looking down at the stone before back up at the ginger boy. Leaning forward, she pressed her nose to his own, tail thumping on the ground behind her. Finally, a stranger she didn't want to fight!
