A few days after the birth! She is calling for @Milan, but I assume @Searchlight is also around to hear? Both are welcome!
After a few exhausted days of rest, Easy was finally coherent enough to call for her midwife, who she thought might advise her about some unusual soreness deep in her hips, near to her spine. She thought she must have just strained something getting the largest of the pups out of her, but so long as she had a healer on hand, she might as well check in.

She was eager to show off the new babies as well.

Easy stepped out of the den for the first time since her labor began and howled for her company, tail already whisking in weary anticipation. She missed the younger woman and was eager to see her face — but part of her hoped she might bring a gift of food as well.

Searchlight heard the howl. His mother. He was eager to see her, so he made his way to her, his footsteps careful, but quick.

After a while, he found her and her den. “Have you had the pups?” He asked, excited to meet his new siblings. “Are you well? Are they well?”

Easy's call was a welcome one, Milan eager to join her with ferns and moss clutched in her jaws.

She didn't pay much mind to Searchlight - no offense meant to him of course, the puppies and their mother were just too much excitement for her attention to stray elsewhere. Four! Four beautiful children, and all healthy from what she could see.

Dropping her gifts, Milan couldn't help her smile or the tears welling in her eyes. Oh, Easy.. they're beautiful.

The perpetrator of Easy's potential injury seemed to have only grown since joining her in the outside world. He did nothing but eat and sleep nearly silently, relatively normal and nothing to cause real concern, but there was no doubt that he was going to be massive.

Even now he was on the search for something to feed from, the most wiggling about he had done all day.

All Welcome
Easy was faintly surprised to see her (previously) youngest son, though when she really put her mind to it, she thought she could remember hearing his voice sometime during her hazy labor and subsequent rest. He looked well, and she answered him, "We're all fine," even as Milan arrived and was given access to the babes.

"Let Milan check on them first," she said to him, stepping forward to bath his face in a quick kiss. "Didn't I send you home with your brother, my little wanderer?"

But she was not truly mad or truly anxious. Most of her children did not prefer to remain where they were born. They were much like her in that way — except that, now, she'd come again to the very hovel of her birth. She'd showed it to him already, back when they'd first come to this place — she wondered if that was how he'd known to find her.

But Milan was exclaiming over the babies, and with her heart swelling with maternal pride, Easy poked her head in to smile down at the four.

"Their names are Mission, Baby, Hellcat, and Danger," she replied, pointing out each child in turn. "Do they look well enough to you? That mottled boy nearly tore me open."

She said it with warmth and amusement, now.

"I'm glad that they are well and that you are well," Searchlight said. "And yes, you told me to go home, but I didn't listen." He smirked at her and watched as Milan and she checked on the pups.

He was a bit on guard, cautious and worried about his mother and his new siblings. He watched from outside, looking in, excited for his turn to see the pups, but waiting patiently.

Such a massive boy being named 'Baby' was enough to make Milan snort, but she held back for now. He's a big one. Do you want me to take a look, does it still hurt? Tears were a real danger, certainly nothing to scoff at.

Giving each pup a careful sniff, Milan observed with a melody of "mhm's" as she confirmed that each was in good health. They seem alright to me. As long as they keep eating and sleeping as well as they are now, anyways. Easy was an experienced mother, Milan couldn't imagine any real problems coming up on that end.

Finally glancing back to Searchlight, Milan's pieces finally all lined up. This is your older son?
